5. Side quests and some variations to main quests depending on Shepard's background and serivce history. (E.g. Hannah Shepard *needs* to be in the game if we're playing Spacers.)
4. More interaction between squadmates (and Normandy crew too, if possible) so that we feel even more like a true team (as opposed to everyone just interacting with Shepard).
3. Pitch-perfect pacing. There should be frantic, racing drama, and' there should also be moments of quiet reflection / introspection - but each in their proper time and place. If there is something urgent to be done, and it's treated in-game as essential that we get there very quickly, we shouldn't then be given a jillion little sidequests on the way, or the opportunity to dither much. (This isn't a criticism of the suicide mission; I like the fact that Shepard has fair enough reasons for delaying or going on it immediately when the time comes. This is for situations where there can be no possible RP justification for delaying. I'm thinking of something similar to chapter two of BG2: from a roleplaying point of view, one should go to save Imoen as soon as one has the 10,000gp one needs to earn - but, from a gaming point of view, one wants to get as many sidequests done as possible beforehand. This is jarring. Gameplay and RPing shouldn't conflict. Urgency and more relaxed moments should sync in terms of both.)
2. An ending that exceeds even the amazing endings of both ME1 and ME2 (and doesn't kick me in the gut like the endgame of DA:O; I've had enough of being "punished" for investing emotionally for now).
1. Kaidan. He's not everyone's favourite character, but a lot of us are very fond of him, and we already endured the wait from ME1 to ME2 only to get *very* little of his character. I hope our continued wait for ME3 will really pay off. (Of course, this applies to Ashley too, but Kaidan tends to make it through more of my games than she does; my mentioning of him before her is just a question of personal perference. Also, I hope their dialogue is clearly differentiated!)
