For those of you haven't gotten it, yet, PC Gamer has an "exclusive add-on mod" for DA: O this month.  I read the read-me and it talks about how install a DA Zip file.  I've also (successfully) installed the storage box mod, so I've used the updater.  There is no DA Zip file on the disk.  There is a .zip file, and it will unzip to wherever you tell it, but I've no idea where to put the files since it looks as though I'll have to do it manually.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

in order for it to work correctly you have to recompress the archive...

Wait, what? So unzip it... then use the updater to compress it?

I just ran the updater again - there's no option to compress files.  I'm guessing you have to do it with the toolset.  Blearrggh.  Somebody fell asleep on that one...

Anyway, thanks for the advice :)

Okay - I figured it out. You basically have to:

1) Unzip the file.

2) Drill down to where you have the manifest.xml file and Contents folder. Compress the manifest file and contents folder as a .zip file. Rename it to whatever.dazip.

3) Drag and drop to the updater as normal.

Good grief :-p

Rather than recompress the file if its already a zip file could you not copy that zip of the disk and just rename it? Seems a tad overcomplicated to have to recompress if a simple rename would work. :)

Good call, haha.

So what is this mod?  Good? Worth finding and downloading?

The file on the PC Gamer disc is a self extracting archive (.exe) so you can't just rename it. You do have to decompress it, then just zip the contents of the folder that is created (not the top level DAO.Orzammar folder, but the files and subfolder within) into a new compressed folder, and name it with a .DAZIP extension rather than .Zip. After that, launch the DAUpdater and drag this new .DAZIP file into the window, select it and Install.

Thank you very much!  This should help me when I get home.  I tried a few things but you seem to have nailed it.

Thanks again
