Will anyone else be mad if Bioware decides to erase all your teamates from ME2

I know he was a DLC character and thus not that important but I really want to see Zaeed back. He could make all the difference in the fight!

Hypotheticals aside, it's unrealistic to assume that everyone from ME2 will be a squaddies in ME3. Sure some of them certainly will, but the story of Mass Effect has always been about shepard, not Shepard and Co.
the story is about shepard...

If Tali returns, I do hope she gets an effective build. From a gameplay perspective, she was dead weight in ME2. In ME1, her skills made her a vital part of many of my teams.
True. Combat drone was a very usefull distraction, but otherwise I can think of character with better skillsets than Tali in ME2.

It was a fun skill, but its prohibitive cooldown period meant that basically every other squadmate was a better choice.

they shouldn't have her in mass effect 3... unless she's a plot/twist, being a traitor working for the reapers...
"Aha! I knew we should never trusted the quarians, they're tools of the reapers. that's why they made the geth.", plot-twist (would be a awesome plot climax).

i wish miranda's role totally replaces tali'zorah's...hooahguy wrote...
I think its safe to say that any LI from both games will still be in ME3. And most likely Garrus/Tali will be there too. And most likely Miranda, which is good, at least for me.

When I said she was a vital part of my team I meant that she could open boxes.

Not at all. Most ME2 squadies suck (combat-wise) anyway.
Fair enough. But most ME2 squaddies aren't going to shut themselves down for ~30 seconds at a time by using one of their abilities.

LotSB showed Liara does have a role to play in ME3 if we will see her as a party member again though i'm not certain. I have a feeling she'll be in a role where she sets up missions and moves the plot along.

Yes. Liara will most likely be the new TIM, especially if players told TIM to shove it at the end of ME2.

You must really want someone to show up at your door with a flaming pitch fork dont you?lol Nah but seriously the scary thing about the approach that Bioware took with ME2 is the fact that now so many people want closure and if they dont provide that closure people will be mad.I sometimes wonder how they are gonna bring proper closure to the Garrus fans,Ashley fans,Kaidan fans,Liara fans,Miri fans,Thane fans, legion fans,Grunt fans, jack fans,Jacob fans, and of course the Tali fans. But than I think of DAO and come to the conclusion that Bioware defintley has what it takes to bring closure to all of the important ME characters.

Think of it like a war council; you have your squad, but many of them aren't actually able to be on your away team:
Wrex/Grunt: The leader of the Krogan, and thus he needs to rally the clans for the battle. If Wrex is alive then Grunt becomes his adopted 'son' or something.
Liara: Your information broker; I think LotSB should have been mandatory, but I guess if you HAVEN'T played it then she can just mention at the beginning of ME3 that she found and 'replaced' the old Shadow Broker.
Tali:Your Quarian liason, although I suspect one of the coucil members from ME2 will be the leader. Perhaps Reegeer
Anderson/Udina & Hackett: They could support you in terms of the Galactic Coucil (thus influencing the Turian, Salarian and Asari to assist you against the Reapers) and Hackett could be your Liason with the Alliance Fleet.
