I was wondering, from people's experience, what made the game the best experience possible. I found I watched way to much Mass Effect 2 content and spoiled what would have been great surprises (beginning, return of archangel and Legion).
If you don't watch any media, you will go in blind, and you won't expect anything. On the other side if you watch the trailers you might gain a lot more excitement for when you first play it.
I just want to know from people's experiences, what they think is better to do.
What is better, watching trailers or media blackout?

Personally, I'm staying away from trailers and the like. I like the whole 'no expectations' thing - the opening to ME2, for example, would have been a hell of a lot more shocking had I not known that Shepard dies and gets resurrected.

Nothing can spoil the game for me.
I've played both Mass Effect games multiple times anyway and the first playthrough was not the best in either game for me so I welcome any trailer/news about ME3.

I agree,
but I would prefer a blackout, I did not follow any of the advertising for ME2 and will likely do pretty much the same for ME3.
I really liked going into the unknown with both games and having no preconceived notions, so I want the same for ME3.
