SO with a Mass Effect coming who else is excited to see some new alien species.  I think it waould be awesome to have a sentient plant like Specie that would not be homocidal and like to take over the minds of helpless people.  Anyone else have an ideas?

if you read the cerberus daily news there are hints of a potential new species. Also, there wwas a story on it about a week ago of a quarian fleet being attacked by a massive starship of unimaginable power. Can't imagine what that might be...

I hope and assume the Yahg will be expanded upon, considering how little we know about them and considering their recent introduction. Batarians were only introduced in a ME1 DLC and became a major race in ME2.

I hope they never mention the Yahg again actually. The build up of 'Who is the Shadow Broker???" that spanned two games all came down to an ugly alien? That's the only reason the Yahg were invented was to have some big ugly monster to fight and that's not a good reason to bring in a new specie.

I am looking forward to this as well. I was kind of disappointed that there weren't as many varied races as Star Wars or Star Trek when I played the first game (I counted 12 total). They did hint that there might be more out in the Terminus Systems. But ME2 only introduced the Vorcha, Drell, Collectors and Yahg, so I was disappointed again. Sure, space exploration is fun, exotic new locatons and all, but I fealt exploring new cultures was more fun than mercenary base #831.

The CDN has mentioned the Raloi (avian race discovered by Asari) being welcome to galactic stage, as well as hints so far that the Kirik (Insects that use biotics to communicate) might be uplifted as well. I am a little curious to find out more about the Kirik. Example: If Kirik are small like beetles, will they need to travel around in jars hooked up to robot bodies with a biotics to English transator hooked up so that they can function alongside other human sized species? Or are they the size of the Rachni?

This as well. I would like to see some alternate genders because so far the only one's we've seen are Humans and Quarians (Asari are an exception). Female turians, female krogan, female Drell. We can forget about the rest (batarian, volus, oh god Elcor) because the results may be horrific.

Only under a tarp in Mordin's Loyalty. If you're referring to the Emissary from the female camp, if I recall he refers to himself as male.

I've been noticing hints on the new races in the Cerberus News, too! I'm glad that's what you guys think as well.

Regarding the Yahg from the Shadowbroker, please keep in mind the point was NOT to introduce a new race. It was to show there has been a series of Shadowbrokers, setting up Liara's reveal that the current one was not the first and probably killed his predecessor. That's how you earn the position.

One point on female aliens - are you sure we haven't seen a female turian or krogan yet? It's easy to tell a quarian's gender, but maybe not so much with the others. It's like the thing with Dwarves in SOME settings...even the women have beards and manly voices, so there are clearly Dwarven women, but we can't tell the difference.

I've not been keeping track on the Cerberus News. Is there some place on the Internet that records all of them?

Female of any alien species would be epic. Not counting Asari.

FEMALE KROGANS!

DO WANT

I remember Shepard getting a breeding request after bringing down the Thresher Maw on Grunts Rite? Would be funny to get love letters and stalked by a female krogan in ME3. Posted Image

If we have a Batarian Squad mate in ME3 I'll kill him. I hate Batarians. They look like talking piles of dog poop.

I'd like to see some new enemies in Mass Effect 3. Maybe some sort of mini, humanoid reaper designed specifically to hunt down Shepard.

Why would female Turians have boobs? Only mammals have them, and in most species on earth, only when they have young!

Nice drawing, though.
