I hope they never mention the Yahg again actually. The build up of 'Who is the Shadow Broker???" that spanned two games all came down to an ugly alien? That's the only reason the Yahg were invented was to have some big ugly monster to fight and that's not a good reason to bring in a new specie.

They impressed me, actually. If just one working alone could become one of the most powerful single people in the galaxy, think of  what could the entire species do...

That's the problem. They made the Yahg specie into a Mary Sue. They made them more adaptive than a human, smarter than a Salarian, and tougher than a Krogan. If that doesn't make someone a Mary Sue than I don't know what does.

So... really, the Yahg Shadow Broker isn't a Mary Sue.

Concidering that the Turians are insect like I'd imagine the femal of the species would be a massive birthing machine that looks like a queen termite or ant.

And that's why you don't see Turian women they're too big and mis-shaped to be moved from their birthing chambers. I'm not even sure if this is a joke or something that makes logical sense.

Based on Garrus's statements, we know this is highly unlikely to be true.

Based on the last novel, we know this is highly unlikely.

Maybe we'll discover a new race of insectoid creatures called Chryssalids and we'll all have to get back in the Skyranger!

..What? ahem..

Then we do enough research to fly to Cydonia and destroy the Master Brain so that Earth is saved.

This is the only one I disagree with.  To me Krogan females should be larger and stronger than the males, why?  Because the are protecting the future of the species.  In nature, often the female is the stronger of the two genders for exactly that reason.   It just fits the Krogan to have stronger females sitting on the home planet in order to "perserve the race" while the males go off to war and mercenary work.

Evolution doesn't happen that fast. The females would have to already be bigger and stronger before the genophage.

Given the bred-in Krogan territorial reflexes and temper/aggression, that does not seem to unlikely though.

On the other hand, the female in the derelict hospital did actually seem smaller and more frail than your average male Krogan - as far as can be judged under the sheet draped over her.
