While my personal favorite is the Garrus romance because of the foundation of trust established, I definitely appreciate Thane (he literally loves Shep), followed by Liara. I have to say LOTSB is what made me start up a new Shep that actually pursued her.



Though I do have a play through where I didn't bother with a romance except messing around with the Consort and Kelly. Nothing serious.

I have 3 Shepards thus far -

My main Shepard, aka ParagonShep, romanced Kaidan in ME1, Garrus in ME2.  Garrus has a sense of humor and rakishness that I lurve.  I also feels he's the squaddie that most has Shepard's back, whether he's your LI or not.

I also have a RenegadeShep who romanced Liara in ME1, Thane in ME2.  I'm not into the ladies and romanced Liara purely to see the difference, so swapping her for Thane was obvious.

And then there's NeutralShep who romanced Kaidan in ME1 and shall remain faithful!
On any subsequent playthroughs I imagine I'll default to Garrus (my favorite LI & squaddie).

My renegade femshep doesnt romance, she is a bit like Jack and approaches Sex in a more casual way than most but not as casual as Jack.

None of the other LIs interest me from the romance standpoint.

ME1: Always Kaidan, since he was the only tolerable option.



ME2: Garrus twice and Thane once.



Ultimately will re-do ME1 with a non-romanced Shep who will have Garrus (my canon).



Might have a Kaidan-faithful Shep just to see what the outcome is in ME3, but Garrus is so damn hard to resist.

hmmm my main femshep hasnt romanced anyone (yes I got slated enough in the femshep thread already for that travesty!)   However im crossing my fingers for the Sniper in the trailer.  That would be a worthy wait!!   Yes I know he only had a few lines and could be no one but he interests me far more already!


Other then that my other playthrough femsheps have romanced Kaiden, Liara and Garrus.  Clear winning romance by leaps and bounds being Liara.

My FemShep's don't like guys so they romance Liara every time.



I suppose they all seem to have a bit of an Asari fetish since they enjoy watching the dancers, too

One for Garrus and three for Thane. For my Shepards Thane is the perfect fit for them. Any futrue Shepard I make will be for Thane also.

Thane, every single time. I did romance Kaidan in ME1, but it wasn't so much an interest in him as it was merely to experience romance as a female Shepard (since I generally play a male Shepard). Why did I choose Thane on all of my female Shepard playthroughs in ME2?

Short answer: It's not really because of Thane or a personal attraction to him (I'm a guy, after all!), but rather because his romance subplot is by far one of the most well-rounded and emotionally compelling I've ever seen anywhere. As a result, he makes the perfect romance for a female Shepard, in my opinion.

Additionally, it goes without saying that Thane LOVES Shepard. Like, literally so. His LOTSB letter reinforces this.

Thane, because I though he was the best of the three available romances for my FemShep.

I'm doing another playthrough in which I'm planning of continue Romancing Liara.

Main femshep has no one, though not for lack of trying on my part. I would start each romance path and then it would not fit with her character. Oh well.



Secondary femshep has Kaidan.

I have no clue at this point. I want to try out the romance subplots in ME2, but I also just want the character to continue the Kaidan romance. Who knows?

Kaidan in ME1. He is a very interesting man.

In ME 2 Garrus, Jacob and Thane (yep, I like them all). Difficult choice... Garrus is a protector, Jacob is honest and Thane, he... I can't even explain.

But who I will romance in ME3... Well, I don't know yet... Bad Jane! Very bad!

I was not a fan of video game romances before Kaidan in ME1. Since then, I've come to enjoy them in other games too, but Kaidan is still far and away my favorite. I'll be importing several faithful characters into ME3 for him, and at least one for Liara.



Maybe once I've completed the series with my main Shepard, I'll go back and try some other romances in ME2. We'll see.

<3Liara T'Soni <3. 6 out of my 8 Femsheps romanced her. She's my blue goddess. Stayed faithfull to her and going to keep it that way. And there will be blue children even if they need to wipe out reapers to get them. (Which is likely scenario.)

I do have one who romanced Kaidan, just to see the romance and she will stay faitfull to him and I have one that didn't romance anyone that is considered romance in ME2, but had very romance like relationship with Kelly.

Liara. In an alternate universe, my Shepard didn't romance Liara and ended up with Garrus in ME2, because Garrus is awesome, and if he had an ME1 romance track I would make a separate femShep just for him. But yeah, in my canon Mass Effect, Shepard ends up with Liara through both games.
