Wrong. Anderson quits his political job in Retribution, ALL the books are canon.

If you chose Anderson as councilor, between ME2 and Retribution Anderson quits or his term ends.

As for Drew's email, we have no way of confirming whether it's real and even if it is, THE BOOKS ARE CANON. It's just ONE single mistake line where it's stated Udina is councilor.

No matter your choices, Udina WILL be councilor in ME3

You do know that roughly 5% of all the geths were heretics. So even if you don't rewrite them, Shepard will still have the true geth behind his back. And wheres the bonus points for saving the base?
