I'm looking for a few suggestions to lvl 1 NPC modifications. It does not have to make any sense, just novelty to some extent and a well-spread class distribution I guess. I've come up with the following so far, but I'm not certain. I don't really care about personal items that cannot be worn by other classes. I'll probably mod them to make them usable by the new class.
Aerie -> Avenger (just sounds wrong, hehe)
Keldorn -> Cleric of Lathander/Mage (since I'm lacking mages more or less, cleric of lathander sounds right)
Mazzy -> Cleric of Helm (protection, certainly sounds good for her)
Imoen -> Skald (singing songs and righting wrongs.. same could be said for a swashbuckler though)
Minsc -> Swashbucker
Valygar -> Wizardslayer
Nalia -> Transmuter (a really nice magekit I think)
Anomen -> Bountyhunter/Mage (no idea why I picked this)
Cernd -> Sorcerer (interesting on him)
Jaheira -> Barbarian (sounds like her sometimes)
Yoshimo -> Archer
Jan -> Cleric of Talos (a gnome that is for once not a thief or a mage)
Haer'Dalis -> Cavalier (he is from the other planes after all)
Edwin -> Beastmaster (he has crappy stats so let the animals fight for him and use bows)
Viconia -> Monk (just... invincible?)
Korgan -> Assassin (dwarven thief sounds interesting. focus on traps and locks and use potions to hide)
I guess I'm doing this because I don't really like NPC mods since they are too chatty compared to bioware NPCs.
Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Check the readme. Level1NPCs already does that.lroumen wrote...

I really like making him a barbarian, allowing him to go into a DOUBLE rage, which is pretty impressive.Minsc -> Swashbucker
Depends on which ones you take. I mean, the other extreme would probably be the one-day NPCs, but there's gotta be something in between. (and I've never considered lack of dialogue a quality, so I never measures any NPCs by it and can't give any recs in good conscience)I guess I'm doing this because I don't really like NPC mods since they are too chatty compared to bioware NPCs.

Truly? Last time I installed Anomen as a F/D I couldn't use his shield. Must have been an old version I guess.
That's a fair opinion. I've had quite a few NPC mods installed in the past but if an apparently quiet NPC seems a chatterbox compared to vanilla NPCs, the immersion is a bit gone. It's alright if you only use NPCs from mods though
