Yeah, the final love scene should be even more emotional, and longer, than the ones before. And it should show more skin, but be subtle like ME1. F*ck Fox News, Bioware clearly won that "arguement", and besides the game is for "matures only", and we - the community - want more movie-like love scenes (not 20 minutes of humping, leave that to 4chan or something...)

Oh yes, and the tension between the first and second LI should be constantly portrayed through the game... That could lead to some hilarious and real emotional scenes.

In my opinion for those who want a family/kids it should only be the payoff if you stayed loyal to your ME 1 love interest.

I made a playthrough staying loyal just for a potential payoff. Hopefully Bioware delivers.

Marriage and kids should be two separate dialog options; if you say yes you'll see it in the epilogue. If you say no, then you won't see it. Works for everyone!



As for the final love scene, I'm really hoping for something emotional and tender, with a little more emphasis on show not tell. More than anything I'm really hoping for an 'after' scene like we had with the ME1 romances; so there was some wonky dialog (joker'swaitingforyouonthebridge) but it added a nice touch, and felt complete.

If Shep has a previous LI then you should be able to have some 'fun' right up until the final battle. Then before going off to said final battle there should be an emotional exchange of words culminating in the greatest love scene in media history.



Then afterwards...well, check my sig to see what I want!

Yeah it should be epic. And I don't want a clothed scene again, that's ridiculous. No need for nudity, ME1 did it just fine.



To top it all off, Tali should fall for FemShep in the end - like it should be!

Okay, my femshep romanced Liara, so this is what I'd like to see from that perspective:



If she lives, have a scene showing her and Liara getting married, maybe give some hints as to their family life. Have Liara whisper that she's pregnant right before they walk out towards the altar. Give a brief epilogue as to their family life.



If she dies, have Liara in a wedding-gown, holding flowers and saying goodbye to Shepard's simple but reverent tombstone, her hand resting on her slightly bulging stomach and whispering "A part of you will live on" before the scene fades.

Basically i'd love to see all the following options become available due to whatever choices you make(from a male Shepard perspective):

-Shepard and LI survive, get married with the revelation of LI being pregnant
-Shepard and LI survive, with LI getting wounded, ending up with the news can't get pregnant
-Shepard has to chose between saving their LI or Earth (I can honestly see Bioware putting this in as an actual choice)
-Shepard choosing to sacrifice himself or his LI to save Earth
-Shepard survives with LI dying slowly in his arms(not to the length of Matrix Revolutions with Trinity cause that was rediculous)
-LI survives with Shepard dying in their arms
-LI sacrificing themselves by running off solo while Shepard is held back screaming for them to come back
-Shepard sacrificing himself by running off solo while his LI is held back screaming/crying for him to come back
-Shepard and LI sacrificing themselves together. Something along the lines off planting a bomb within a Reaper and getting trapped with no way out. Then as it goes off, they kiss and get engulfed in the explosion.
-Shepard choosing between his LI and 'best friend'. I'm sure Bioware have a variable about squad composition so basically they'd just find the squadmate you use the most and threaten to kill them or your LI.

I'm sure I had thought of more before but I can't remember them for the time being. If they come back to me then i'll add them. LI or Earth I think is the most likely the happen.

If done correctly (or at all), it could turn out to be one of the most emotional ones.

"Shepard, Shepard, I love you, but we only have <Insert time here> to save the Earth!"

I totally agree with the OP. Although I really wouldn't use the word epic... sweet or cute maybe.
I doubt we would ever see Shepard shed a tear or something, but making them both say "I love you" to each other before the final push would really melt a lot of hearts

Actually I highly agree with you. There is one background where shepard has a mother. Say if Ashley is your romance. She could meet your mother and You could meet her sister. The one who stomped the boy into the ground. Talk about epic ending. 
 
As for the final love scene. I think it should be a long the lines of the side characters. I like the fact that in ME 2 all the love scenes where DIFFERENT!. Did anyone get that. Different for each individual. It would put some serious heart warming moments. AFter playing ME 2. The final love scene should be right before the final battle for the galaxy. Bioware shouldn't change the formula on this one. Its a tradition now and if they change that I think I'll be sad.

Romances in ME are not just a teenagerish feature, if well rhole played. Think about the Liara and Tali's (sorry Miranda and Jack fans, but I prefer to speak about the ones that I know better) they're a very emotive moment, more than just "do you like to have some fun before we die?" and LotSB even endipened the situation, giving you the chance of return with Liara or find out how deep is Tali's affection for you: they're just a few dialogues, I know, but they enrich very much their romances, if well rhole played (or you can do the Commander Jerkpard and cheat on this).

So honestly I expect that things continues on this way (for the other LIs too, I'm supporting a major endipement of all the characterizations, besides my favouritisms) and I wanna see some really emotive moments between Shep and his/her LI, maybe even something dramatic, but mostly I hope that BW will give us a chance to achieve some happiness for Shep and the LI after the war. It shouldn't be the easiest path to follow, but I guess anyone of uf will be pissed if the romance will be unavoidablely doomed to end in a tragical way.

For example, I'd like to see Tali's face not in the final sex scene, but only if she and Shepard survives and finally remain toghether. That should be the hardest possibility, to make it more interesting to achieve.

This has my support. Every single love interest should have a fully developed romance in ME3.

Yes, I'm all for an equal treatment for all the character, it's a thing that also gaves to the haters less reasons to complain. And even if ipothetically my LI will get the best treatment I won't feel right thinking about the others... I'd just like that everyone enjoys the game in the way I do, besides who likes who.

On the subject of pregnancy, that only comes up if the LI is human or asari (and not Miranda). Also, keep in mind that FemShep could easily become pregnant by Kaidan or Jacob.

On the subject of Shep dying i'd love to see something like the following:



-Immediately after the final battle, Shep and LI say their goodbyes

-LI shown at funeral service with all of surviving cast

-Roll credits

-Show LI suffering from old age at Shepards grave
