Was that in the Euro version of GTA IV or something?

It was in GTA IV DLC Lost and Damned.

I'm sure it will be the dry-humping to end all dry-humpings.

In my opinion for those who want a family/kids it should only be the payoff if you stayed loyal to your ME 1 love interest.

I made a playthrough staying loyal just for a potential payoff. Hopefully Bioware delivers.

I stayed loyal, I don't want kids in the game,  I'm not even sure I want them to discuss kids except to say let's discuss kids after we survive the reapers.  You can decide in your head what your Shepard will say, most of mine will say no kids.

But I do want a couple of love scenes.  Three would be a treat, but I'd settle for two, one when you and your ME1 LI get back together with conversations working up to that, and conversations afterwards .  And one towards the end.
For my Shepards who have ME2 LI  one maybe 1/2 way through the game and the other before the battle.  If ME2 LI aren't with you on the ship, a real possibility, then I want to be able to meet up with them somewhere.
My Shepard's who did not have a LI or whose LI died can just focus on the job at hand and play poker with the crew in the off time.

I did like the way DA had the option of inviting the LI to your tent any time after they made their decision,  even if it was same thing after the 1st but still was a nice option.

I liked the ME1 love scene a lot.  Would be happy with something like this, just a bit different.

I'm not sure I agree with this entirely. Shepard seems a little like a tragic hero to me. :|

I agree, the final love scene should have many branches of dialogue, an epic love theme (one that tops reflections and ME1 love theme) and no fade to black.... But that's just me.

Am I the only person who wants things to be left to the imagination?  I thought the ME1 love scene was perfect.  And I'm sorry, no matter how talented your animators are (and they are amazing), the ME2 scenes still looked weird and awkwardly stiffly animated.  I don't want that.  I mean I don't need to see that Shepard is clearly a bad kisser because you can't really animate that fully realistically.  Suggestion is perfect I think.

As for buildup, I'm still hoping in vain for some dlc that mends the relationship with Ash so that I can go into ME3 having the whole game with them being in a real relationship.

I'm not interested in building up a romance as if it were new.  I want to see the progression an established mature relationship will take in ME3.  And if that's the case I guess I wouldn't really need any "scene" anyway since I would just assume they...do what people do when in a relationship.

Love scenes in games always seem so awkward to me, i just don't think technologies there yet to make it look natural, i keep picturing the team america scene. Besides the actual interaction with the character, and developing the relationship was always more rewarding than the 5 sec clip

edit: Take KoTor and Jade Empire for example, the sex scene in those were just fade to black, yet the actual romance was just as rewarding as ME1 and ME2 if not more so.

No, I hope for a 'fade to black'.  I'd rather they spend more time on the dialog and the 'fluff' then waste time on some awful looking PG-13 dry hump fest.  I can add the sexy stuff in with my imagination.

Basically i'd love to see all the following options become available due to whatever choices you make(from a male Shepard perspective):

-Shepard and LI survive, get married with the revelation of LI being pregnant

Sure someone will bring this up, but I don't think Kaidan can get pregnant or Thane for that matter.

-Shepard and LI survive, with LI getting wounded, ending up with the news can't get pregnant
-Shepard has to chose between saving their LI or Earth (I can honestly see Bioware putting this in as an actual choice)
-Shepard choosing to sacrifice himself or his LI to save Earth
-Shepard survives with LI dying slowly in his arms(not to the length of Matrix Revolutions with Trinity cause that was rediculous)
-LI survives with Shepard dying in their arms
-LI sacrificing themselves by running off solo while Shepard is held back screaming for them to come back
-Shepard sacrificing himself by running off solo while his LI is held back screaming/crying for him to come back
-Shepard and LI sacrificing themselves together. Something along the lines off planting a bomb within a Reaper and getting trapped with no way out. Then as it goes off, they kiss and get engulfed in the explosion.
-Shepard choosing between his LI and 'best friend'. I'm sure Bioware have a variable about squad composition so basically they'd just find the squadmate you use the most and threaten to kill them or your LI.

I'm sure I had thought of more before but I can't remember them for the time being. If they come back to me then i'll add them. LI or Earth I think is the most likely the happen.

Truly, I don't want anything quite so dramatic and  I'm tired of the sacrifice ending. We did it in ME1 (Kaidan/Ash) and in DA ready for something else.

But as long as I have one, just one where they survive with LI or friends/crew, if you don't have LI, with fireworks - StarWars/Independence Day, don't care what else they do.  And if some of the crew/squade dies, a moment of remembering them while the fireworks go off in the background.

Marriage and kids should be two separate dialog options; if you say yes you'll see it in the epilogue. If you say no, then you won't see it. Works for everyone!

this would work for me.  :)

As for the final love scene, I'm really hoping for something emotional and tender, with a little more emphasis on show not tell. More than anything I'm really hoping for an 'after' scene like we had with the ME1 romances; so there was some wonky dialog (joker'swaitingforyouonthebridge) but it added a nice touch, and felt complete.

i'm hoping for something along the lines of ME1 also. It made me happy and I liked it much much better than ME2.  I don't mind the amount of skin they showed in ME1, just please no under ware.

Word, J.

As far as marriage and babies go I have no problem with there maybe being an option to go that route but that is so not what I want for my Shep and Ash.  UUUUUUUGH.  So here's hoping there's an option maybe but that it's not forced.

I just hope it's more about romance and not sex.

Actually, me too.  Don't get me wrong, I do want at least 1 romantic sex scene but mostly I want more conversations with LI between missions.

The children thing should be left up to the imagination (unless they allow for dialog options to affect the epilogue, so there will be multiple romance endings depending on dialog choices made earlier).

Some LIs should not even be allowed to have kids...like the obvious ones...sorry Tali fans, no human-quarian hybrids.

But...BABIES!  BABIES EVERYWHERE!!!

Yeah, I don't get why so many people want this decided for the characters.  I'd rather have it left up to our imaginations.

I would prefer several scenes throughout he game that are more meaningful encounters with your LI than just.

"Hey, how you doin'? Plz do my loyalty mission"

"Okay"

"Seriously, do it. I won't speak to you til you do."

"Okay :("

From what i read if you had a LI in me1 and decided to get a new LI in me2 something will happen. The thing is we wont know what till the game comes out.

maybe you ME 1 li wil get jealous and angry and join the Reapers.

If Shepard cheated, I would LOVE to see your ME1 LI and your ME2 love interest tell Sheparad to go jump back into space and go get coffee together.  But that's just me.  Would also be happy if ME1 LI just says your loss and leaves.

I don't think your the only one.  I liked the love scene in ME1 a lot and would be quite happy if they did something like this in ME3.   I'm not as fond of the make out fade to black style.  I didn't mind ME2 relationships because I went with the - we are going to die - outlook on some of them and I found the one with Thane and Jack (a work in progress)  rather sweet.

I'm also hoping for some kind of ME1 Kaidan/Ash reunion DLC after all we have a year to go.  And YES - I want to see some kind of deeper relationship with ME1 LI and if they are around something with ME2 LI.  But I do want the "scene"  just not details.  Once again, for me, ME1 had a perfect love scene.

Romance scene is less important than the character interaction, thats what ME3 needs most. For the romance scene (should there be one) there needs to be a mix of ME 1+2 ideas, ME1's feel and intimacy and ME2's variety (distinct scene for each LI)

Agreed.

I don't care if we get a love scene or not.  But we definitely need some sort of closure.  An emotionally touching scene that completes the story.  For some, this romance has covered three games, though perhaps a bit thin in the middle there Posted Image  What we need is material that makes it all worthwhile.

I remember awhile ago the BW game designers were interested in exploring the idea of making DLC that focus on continuing the established romances like take Tali on a date etc. Perhaps these amazing designers are making notes for this to be a potential DLC for ME3.

That would be the worst DLC ever. Get out and get a real girlfriend. What is up with people and they're virtual girlfriends? It's just a game people!

You make it sound like Mass Effect is about stopping a race of evil machines and not about going on dates
