No "This is the key to stopping the reapers!" ending. Please for the love of everything that is Mass Effect don't do this. Even if we have a darker ending it doesn't matter to me, just make a good twist and don't use it to hurt the plot (Massive cough followed by a whisper of Transformers 2 from the crowd)

I absolutely completely agree. I want some price to be paid to defeat the Reapers. Please Bioware, don't make it easy.

The ending shouldn't be like that, but it also shouldn't be so dark it's depressing.

inb4 Shepard will gain superpowers in ME3. These powers will be called the "gifts of the Protheans" and will be needed to defeat the Reapers. Most of the game will be spent acquiring said powers.

Epic fail ending = the reapers will leave Earth and other races homeplanets transformed to dust, Hmmm very tempting isn't it.

If manShepard wants to live then he needs to have unprotected sex with [insert name here]. Actually that was her plan from the beginning. The reaper soul goes into the baby and an old reaper baby is born! Then [insert name here] wanders off and the other ME spin off games are based on finding [insert name here].
Wait...

I'd personally love it if they made it near-impossible to save every planet and still survive yourself. And by "Near-impossible" I don't mean "do a load of loyalty missions and then everywhere has magical invulnerability". I mean "If you aren't in exactly the right place at exactly the right time with exactly the right reinforcements and weaponry, a planet dies". For the people who want to save everyone (like me), it would be absolutely insane. Trying to out-think the Reapers and get to the right place at the right time, but don't take too long or Earth get's defeated, etc.

Or alternatively, make it IMPOSSIBLE to save everyone. "Many choices lie ahead. None of them easy". So, a space station and a planet are under attack. The space station is strategically important, but the planet is occupied by million's of people. Which do you choose?

I totally agree with you. The suicide missions survivability depened on whether you got loyaly, upgrades and chose your team right. No variables are involved in this. I would rather see it depending on who you gather first and how you deal with their situations the game plays out differen't.
