My main ones that I posted in another thread:
1. Increase the arbitrary headcount to Shepard and three squadmates.
2. Give all classes all four weapons back.
3. Form an Alpha Team (Shepard, 3 squaddies), a Bravo Team (Garrus and three other squaddies) etc, etc so we can have more characters as squadmates, have more opportunities to use them. (I'm looking at you Legion), and up the scale and perspective for the finale.
4. Geographically split up the party.

I honestly hope that the Rachni come back to bite us in the arse! This would mostly be applicable if you killed the queen on Noveria. Why? There is a set of quests that opens up in ME1 after you complete Noveria. These quests are:
UNC: Listening Post Alpha → UNC: Listening Post Theta → UNC: Depot Sigma-23
Listening Post Alpha is the Starship Troopers mission. After you fight off the wave you go eliminate the Rachni base. Theta is just an old base overrun by Rachni, and The depot is shipping Rachni all over the galaxy. When your driving on the planets for Alpha and Theta, Rachni pop out of the ground all over so I believe that the Rachni are surviving pretty well.
I ignored these mission on purpose and I know others that have done the same thing! The queen is dead on mine but the Rachni are set up quite well on 2 planets, possibly more with the depot shipping more Rachni out. Can they team up with the reapers please?
just thought i would throw that idea out there.

-I know this is too much to ask for, but maybe females to be a bit more fleshy/muscular? Thier arms are sooo skinny, like unnaturally skinny. How am i supposed to believe that my shep can kick so much ass with those itty bitty arms and legs? Thick girls are both sexy and tough. • Far less railroading. "All command crew leave on a shuttle." Really Bioware? Could you be more heavy-handed?
• While in cover I can shoot at 45+° angles.
• Love interest has a bigger role.
• Mix of old squadmates (Garrus and Tali please) and new ones.
• More choice of equipment, for Shepard and for squadmates.
• No looting (it doesn't make sense for a special forces soldier to go around rummaging through crates and rubbish bins, just ask Conrad).
• Garrus fixes that flaming great hole in his armour.
• Someone else on the ship does the planet scanning. I'm a special forces soldier, not a prospector.

Stats:
• Bring back stat control that governs player’s individual weapons. IE: Sniper rifles, shotguns, pistols and submachine gun damage and reload speed.
• Bring back Charm and Dick stat control. Combined with the ME2 system, a player will be able be the character they want more effectively and quickly.
• Weapon stats in the load out screen that show rate of fire, damage and ammo capacity.
Mods:
• Keep the “God Modding” system for weapons, armor, tech/biotics and Paragon/Renegade level from ME2
• Bring back weapon and armor mods. These could be scanned from downed enemies and rebuilt onboard the Normandy or bought from vendors throughout the galaxy.
• Weapon and armor mods need to have limited slots. 3 for weapons, 2 for armor. This allows the player to individually customize their character and squad according to how they want to play.
• No inventory. All items, upgrades, weapons, omni tools are to be scanned and equipped aboard the Normandy unless the player “swaps” on the spot.
• Ammo types should be reclassified as mods and available on the power wheel with the exception of Warp Ammo unless the character is a Biotic.
Powers:
• Tech and Biotic powers shouldn’t share the same cool down period.
• Allow for 3 powers to be chained. IE: Singularity + Warp + Throw= Biotic Nova.
• Allow Tech powers to be chained or to have a greater AoE. IE: Overload + Body of water= Big Zap.
Gameplay:
• Keep the combat from ME2. More animations, some further refinement to squad AI. No blindfire. Squadmates should behave more like their roles. IE: Snipers hang back, tanks press forward.
• More exploration ala Overlord. Less platforming and no strange wobble parcel pick up. Allow the squad to exit the Hammerhead.
• Hammerhead needs a HUD, shields, an upgrade system similar to the Normandy’s in ME2. Missiles should be lock-on and fired in a salvo as opposed to pew, pew. An additional heavy machine gun should be added also. These could all be upgrades that are either purchased or researched. Hammerhead should be used for fast and hard strike missions.
• Bring back the Mako for heavy assault missions. Fix the handling, fix the hover, fix the repair function and increase the cannon’s rate of fire.
• No multiplayer. If it must be; then co-op or something similar to Demon Souls. No online deathmatch or its many iterations.
• Planet scanning needs to be simplified. One click on the planet and all minerals and resources are harvested. The scanner crosshair should be kept for pinpointing signals/beacons etc.
• Load screens should be replaced where applicable by elevators and decontamination (don’t need the elevator inside the Normandy). Squad banter ala Dragon Age should added in these spots and throughout the game.
• Ditch the Mission Complete screen.
• Squad and crew interaction.IE: Thane, Garrus and Zaeed talking headshots in the mess. Legion and EDI playing chess. Miranda and Jack settling their differences in the shower. Tali, Ken and Gaby working on the engines.
Squad:
• Casual outfits and combat outfits. Each should be unique and have benefits specific to that character. Attention should be paid to areas regarding breath masks, helmets, visors and total coverage where applicable. IE: No exposed skin or eyes on a world with a chlorine atmosphere or a sterile environment like the Flotilla.
Story:
• ME1’s style of story driven narrative with ME2’s character driven style tucked inside.
• Reveal some of the mysteries posed in the previous games. IE: Players can visit Junthor or Armeni and see the ruins/ graves of extinct species, let’s see the Leviathan of Dis or who the hell is Armistan Banes?
• Don’t let us kill the Reapers with a virus.
• Please don’t make humans the chosen ones or the descendents of some long lost race.
• Turian. Councilor. Needs. A. Punch. In. The. Face.
• More like LotSB.
Misc:
• Environmental hazards need to return from ME1. Temperature or toxicity, things like that. Rain, snow or sand storms from ME2.
• Night time missions or missions that are in near or total darkness. Flashlight style mission(s) like Alan Wake or Doom would be awesome.
• More indigenous life. There’s got to be more creatures than Thresher Maws, Pyjacks, Varren, and shifty looking cows. A world or worlds where the player might get their ass chewed by wildlife would be enjoyable and add variety. There was a planet where all the life forms had biotic abilities of some sort. Very dangerous. Let’s have it.
• Add some unique drops and rare drops. Every now and then some high level boss or enemy drops something special.
• Add unique items. IE: A REAL Geth sniper rifle. Goods that actually carry unique characteristics of the race that made them.

^ These.
And here's mine from the 300 page list too.
- Kasumi Goto's character fleshed out. I also wouldn't mind her as a love
interest. I would like to know what is in the Graybox. I swear I saw
a Reaper in the first screen where we see Kaji. - Based on the ending of Me 2 it appears that the squad from ME 2 will be
returning (those that survived ) I hope this is the case. I would
like to see both Me 1 and Me 2 squad mates return for ME 3. Along
with Several new additions. - I REALLY would like to be able to punch Udina.
- If the Council refuses to see the truth of the reaper threat, after
being shown the data-pad that was collected from the collectors
base. It would be pretty damn sweet to either threaten them to leak
the information on the data-pad or to just leak it after the
meeting, to the extra-net.
- A happy ending. None of this Shepard being posses by the reapers
because of his bio-synthetic infusion implants...unless the wrong
choices were chosen.
Harder choices similar to the mission with 2 missiles being launched
and only one disarm code.- Flesh out Zaeed Massani's character, I want to know why he is such a
hard ass, shy he put's his feelings over the mission and also I
wouldn't mind being able to sway him to a more Paragon path. Also
for the female Shepards out there he could possibly be a Love
Interest. - Continuation of Love Interest from Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2.
and some new Love Interest, as well. - More Dialogue. Mass Effect 2 had really great dialogue but some the
characters didn't have enough. E.G. I was only able to engage Garrus
in a conversation twice. Any other time he just asked if it could
wait. Or if I became “locked in” to a relationship with a
character (Miranda Specifically) I would go and she would say she
would be by when it was quiet. More Joker. Seth Green is a great
comedian and his lines make me laugh the most in Mass Effect 2. - Quarians being allowed to have an Embassy on the Citadel with
Shepards input on who should be ambassador (Like Tali) - Help regain a quarian home-world...either peacefully or violently.
- Peaceful or violent resolution between the Geth and Quarians as well
as the rest of the species in Mass Effect Trilogy. - More Squad banter
- More squad input during conversation. For example when Shepard tells
Jack/Suze that she doesn't to be his/her enemy. Or when you tell the
Asari detective that she could refuse orders and Garrus states that
“they can refuse suicide mission orders?” and Mordin says “Twice
a day on average.” - Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Rainbow Six Squad AI and Enemy AI. I
feel like the enemy's are just charging at me and my squad mates are
just cannon fodder. Or don't shoot anything at all. - Over the shoulder cam for squad mates (Would make giving orders
easier IMHO) - Automated fish feeding system. (Other then Kelly)
- More souvenirs and fish. Also it would be cool to be able to look at
the souvenirs closer.

Stats:
• Bring back stat control that governs player’s individual weapons. IE: Sniper rifles, shotguns, pistols and submachine gun damage and reload speed.
Uh, what's the exact point of the stats? All I did in ME1 was pick whatever had a larger amount of green meters or took the Spectre weapons.
• Bring back Charm and Dick stat control. Combined with the ME2 system, a player will be able be the character they want more effectively and quickly.
Uh, why? It did not work that well in ME1 up to the point I had to sacrifice useful skill trees with my Infiltrators just to level them up, not to mention I just Lorik Qu'inned all of my characters just to spare myself some precious points.
• Weapon stats in the load out screen that show rate of fire, damage and ammo capacity.
Not too problematic.
• Bring back weapon and armor mods. These could be scanned from downed enemies and rebuilt onboard the Normandy or bought from vendors throughout the galaxy.
Uh, what mods can be useful is the question. At most, I can only see larger magazine capacity, and that's about it. Armor mods in ME1 was already useless unless you had Medical Exoskeleton X, Kinetic Exoskeleton X, Combat ExoSkeleton X, or other variations of Energized Weave.
• Weapon and armor mods need to have limited slots. 3 for weapons, 2 for armor. This allows the player to individually customize their character and squad according to how they want to play.
I outright hated the last two SOCOM games because the amount of mods were outright limited, and was completely pissed off that an M4A1 rifle was restricted to two mods despite the fact that it could be outfitted with almost everything in real life (i.e. If I want to outfit my gun with a suppressor, a red-dot sight, a flashlight, and a vertical front grip, I should be allowed to do so, not "you're allowed to install two of these.". If anything, take the Metal Gear Solid 4 route if certain weapons allow more mods than others.
• No inventory. All items, upgrades, weapons, omni tools are to be scanned and equipped aboard the Normandy unless the player “swaps” on the spot.
Something we can agree on.
• Ammo types should be reclassified as mods and available on the power wheel with the exception of Warp Ammo unless the character is a Biotic.
Sounds like a decent compromise, but we'd have to deal with how to fit it into the wheel without cluttering it.
• Tech and Biotic powers shouldn’t share the same cool down period.
Can agree.
• Allow for 3 powers to be chained. IE: Singularity + Warp + Throw= Biotic Nova.
If it's only allowed for our party members, I'd be on-board. If enemies get access to it however, it's ME1 all over again.
• Allow Tech powers to be chained or to have a greater AoE. IE: Overload + Body of water= Big Zap.
Problem I see with this is making sure the framerate stays stable. Too much physics= unstable framerate caused by engine.
Gameplay:
• Keep the combat from ME2. More animations, some further refinement to squad AI. No blindfire. Squadmates should behave more like their roles. IE: Snipers hang back, tanks press forward.
No problem here.
• More exploration ala Overlord. Less platforming and no strange wobble parcel pick up. Allow the squad to exit the Hammerhead.
No problem here.
I can go along with this.
• Bring back the Mako for heavy assault missions. Fix the handling, fix the hover, fix the repair function and increase the cannon’s rate of fire.
Agree on fixing everything about the Mako.
• No multiplayer. If it must be; then co-op or something similar to Demon Souls. No online deathmatch or its many iterations.
No Multiplayer, period. I can't even do co-op because my friends and I have personal lives to attend to. I shouldn't have to be pressed for time just to get the most out of multiplayer features just because we'll be busy with other games.
• Planet scanning needs to be simplified. One click on the planet and all minerals and resources are harvested. The scanner crosshair should be kept for pinpointing signals/beacons etc.
I'll have to agree on this, regardless of enjoying the planet scanning.
• Load screens should be replaced where applicable by elevators and decontamination (don’t need the elevator inside the Normandy). Squad banter ala Dragon Age should added in these spots and throughout the game.
Depends on how well implemented this is. Problem with ME1 is by the time I did all of my side missions, I'm hearing nothing but news reports after I'm two or three main planets in.
• Ditch the Mission Complete screen.
I'd like a variation of it at least though, just to make sure I searched every nook and cranny to have that armor or weapon upgrade, not to mention I got all of the possible amount of credits for that mission.
• Squad and crew interaction.IE: Thane, Garrus and Zaeed talking headshots in the mess. Legion and EDI playing chess. Miranda and Jack settling their differences in the shower. Tali, Ken and Gaby working on the engines.
As much as I'd like it, it would be a nightmare in the programming sense if this involves placing all of them at different parts of the ship at random times.
I'll agree regarding the outfits. Keep the individuality of the characters, but give them matching armor.
• ME1’s style of story driven narrative with ME2’s character driven style tucked inside.
More or less this.
• Reveal some of the mysteries posed in the previous games. IE: Players can visit Junthor or Armeni and see the ruins/ graves of extinct species, let’s see the Leviathan of Dis or who the hell is Armistan Banes?
I'm all for this.
• Don’t let us kill the Reapers with a virus.
Crippling with a virus, I'll be fine, but agree on not killing.
[quote• Please don’t make humans the chosen ones or the descendents of some long lost race.
Having played Halo 3, I felt like this was something Bungie pulled out of their asses.
• More like LotSB.
This. I enjoyed this more than the Star Wars prequel movies combined.
Misc:
• Environmental hazards need to return from ME1. Temperature or toxicity, things like that. Rain, snow or sand storms from ME2.
Uh, how can we exactly fit that though? I'm not sure how much vehicle implementation BioWare is going to add in for ME3, not to mention we don't know how they'll structure the side missions.
• Night time missions or missions that are in near or total darkness. Flashlight style mission(s) like Alan Wake or Doom would be awesome.
Wouldn't have a problem with this. After all, we did have some night-time-ish missions with the Major Kyle mission
I'd be all for this, but you'll have to factor in the resource consumption. I'd rather have a more complete story-telling experience than having numerous minor additions that only a certain percentage of players will enjoy experiencing.
• Add some unique drops and rare drops. Every now and then some high level boss or enemy drops something special.
Like what though? It's next to impossible if it's a random loot sequence that will end up being a "save, reload" spam-fest in the same method I did just to get the armor I wanted for my squad.
• Add unique items. IE: A REAL Geth sniper rifle. Goods that actually carry unique characteristics of the race that made them.
Sounds interesting. I'm game.

At most, I can only stomach two more additions, and that's about it. Five is just pushing it, especially for those of us that want further development from ME1 and ME2 characters considering we spent a game or two getting to know them.
I REALLY would like to be able to punch Udina.
Why punch Udina when you can cut his balls off and sell them to a Krogan?

This. I don't want Fallout 3 caliber choices either, where the bull**** meter is so high that the game was a complete waste of our time.
Harder choices similar to the mission with 2 missiles being launched

Agreed, but I should know what the exact consequences are. Balak was more or less too vague as well (especially for those of us that did let him live.)

Uh, I'd be all for it, but you have to factor in that BioWare has 100+ actors to juggle with, a good number of them playing more than one character at a given time.

No. When was it said Tali has any leadership or political experience? It's the equivalent of expecting Chelsea Clinton to become the next American President.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Rainbow Six Squad AI
Uh, the A.I. was consistently useless since the series's inception, and this is coming from someone that played PC Sum of All Fears, Ghost Recon 2 (the first two games made by the same developer), GRAW 2, and both of the Rainbow Six: Vegas games. I'm fine with ME2's A.I. as is.

Agreed.

Uh, what's the exact point of the stats? All I did in ME1 was pick whatever had a larger amount of green meters or took the Spectre weapons.
The stats are so the player can pick which weapon they want to specialize in. A CQC Infiltrator can beef up shotgun or submachine guns. A Widow soldier can put more points into sniper rifles. This allows the player greater ability to roleplay. I don't want to change the way it was done in ME2, I just want to flesh it out.
Uh, why? It did not work that well in ME1 up to the point I had to sacrifice useful skill trees with my Infiltrators just to level them up, not to mention I just Lorik Qu'inned all of my characters just to spare myself some precious points.
A problem with ME1 was that there were too many skills that had to be unlocked and a lot of points got wasted. My suggestion is for Paragon and Renegade choices to add to the experience pool so when the player levels up, they can sink additional points into the "persona" of their character. That way there's no grey text of things I'd like to be able to say but can't yet.
Extended magazines, frictionless materials, infrared scope, silencer or rail extensions would be welcome for weapons. The armor mods you said were the ones I'd like to see back.
Restricted weapon mods prevents BS from piling up in the armory and keep the players actually playing as oppposed to picking and choosing gear. Yep you can put all those things on guns in real life; which this is not.
Sounds like a decent compromise, but we'd have to deal with how to fit it into the wheel without cluttering it.
There's 2 empty slots in the powerwheel per squad member including Shepard. Pick your ammo and your squads ammo in the loadout menu.
If it's only allowed for our party members, I'd be on-board. If enemies get access to it however, it's ME1 all over again.
Exactly. No thanks.
Problem I see with this is making sure the framerate stays stable. Too much physics= unstable framerate caused by engine.
Very true. If it doesn't work, don't put it in.
No Multiplayer, period.
I don't think we'll have a choice.
Depends on how well implemented this is. Problem with ME1 is by the time I did all of my side missions, I'm hearing nothing but news reports after I'm two or three main planets in.
Exactly. I liked the elevators for the "hiding the strings" factor but they need to be made more interesting. The loading screens of ME2 didn't bother me in the least. They just didn't have the "seemlessness". I'd liek to throw in here that I don't the damn Normandy to undock when I get back on it. Players should be able to do that and not have to reland. Illium was a pain the ass for this. So was Omega.
I'd like a variation of it at least though, just to make sure I searched every nook and cranny to have that armor or weapon upgrade, not to mention I got all of the possible amount of credits for that mission.
An over the shoulder view of a datapad would be fine. It should be skippable. I don't really need it or want it but the weird "Illusive Man chillaxin' screen" was meh at best.
As much as I'd like it, it would be a nightmare in the programming sense if this involves placing all of them at different parts of the ship at random times.
Not random times but after certain missions. Random would be a coding hell.
Crippling with a virus, I'll be fine, but agree on not killing.
I'd still be a little put off but I really can't see another way to win.
Uh, how can we exactly fit that though? I'm not sure how much vehicle implementation BioWare is going to add in for ME3, not to mention we don't know how they'll structure the side missions.
Think Haestrom. Pragia. Noveria.
I'd be all for this, but you'll have to factor in the resource consumption. I'd rather have a more complete story-telling experience than having numerous minor additions that only a certain percentage of players will enjoy experiencing.
Only on a few planets. Landing on some new world and being like " Oh, Varren." Pew. Pew. Has worn out it's welcome.
Like what though? It's next to impossible if it's a random loot sequence that will end up being a "save, reload" spam-fest in the same method I did just to get the armor I wanted for my squad.
Maybe a custom biotic amp or something unique to the enemy that was killed. A souped up gun. Even a set of items that can be collected and when worn creates a set bonus. Not high on my list of important things though.

I should have been clear on my earlier response, I meant the weapon stats. While the skill stats work in a traditional RPG to some extent, I felt that some of the skill stats in ME1 was just outright out of place considering we're already a Special Forces Marine (i.e. The weapons-related skills being out of place with the "U must upgrade to g3t 1337 usage" angle) mainly because Special Forces training usually means having a hard-core training regimen up to the point they're at least on Thane's level of killing efficientally with the weapon at hand
A problem with ME1 was that there were too many skills that had to be unlocked and a lot of points got wasted. Depends on how many new skills BioWare is adding into the game. If it's the same as ME2, I *MAY* be on-board, but I already had my Shock Trooper/Agent upgrade.
Extended magazines, frictionless materials, infrared scope, silencer or rail extensions would be welcome for weapons. The armor mods you said were the ones I'd like to see back.
I can see Infrared Scope and Extended Magazines, but what does the Frictonless Materials, Silencers/suppressors, and rail extensions cover? What would be their usage for this?
Restricted weapon mods prevents BS from piling up in the armory and keep the players actually playing as oppposed to picking and choosing gear. Yep you can put all those things on guns in real life; which this is not.
What do you exactly mean by "prevents BS from pilling?" Is it in reference to useless weapons? If yes, MGS4 did the gun modifications right(i.e. Some guns allow more mods than others.") This will at least promote more options of "What do you want, a useful high-tech rifle that's jack of all trades, or do you want a powerful rifle sacrificing accuracy and rate of fire".
There's 2 empty slots in the powerwheel per squad member including Shepard. Pick your ammo and your squads ammo in the loadout menu.
Ah, okay. Thanks for clearing that up.
I don't think we'll have a choice.
At this late in the series? We're going to be looking at Tiberian Twilight Redux again if we don't voice it fast. As it is, ME3 is already going to be my last new game I'm buying considering I don't want to pay $70 for a four hour game when ME3 is done.
Exactly. I liked the elevators for the "hiding the strings" factor but they need to be made more interesting. The loading screens of ME2 didn't bother me in the least. I can agree with you on this.

I can see why the Illusive Man Mission Complete screen is awkward, and agree in that department. On the other hand, while I may have a good memory about things, I might forget the little detail here and there. Where would you exactly place the datapad if you don't mind my asking? The last thing I need is having the center of the screen being cluttered by the data-pad entries saying "I got X amount of XP" "I got X amount of credits" and "I got X Paragon/Renegade Points"
Not random times but after certain missions. Random would be a coding hell.
Amen to that. After certain missions, we also need to factor that programming this won't create a Conrad Verner fiasco in the process.
Think Haestrom. Pragia. Noveria.
Ah, okay. Haestrom, I liked it. Noveria, we had the luxury of the Mako.
In that case, I'll be fine with three planets. Should be reasonable.

Wondering why that wasn't in ME2. I envisioned something like this before the game came out (i.e. "Do this mission, and you'll get a special weapon for Samara")
