Loghain should be in his young 50's during the game. He is described as being the same age or slightly older than Maric.
Eamon was 15 in "The Stolen Throne"; so, is about 48 yrs old now. Teagan was 8; so, should be about 41 yrs old now.
Edited to correct book title - duh!

I'm not sure if Eamon and Teagan were those ages at the beginning of ST (which would make them the ages you say) or at the end (start of the Dragon Age, which makes them 45 and 38 respectively). Either way, Eamon isn't ageing too well - he looks a good 10 years older than Loghain. Maybe that's from getting nagged by his cow of a wife.

You mean the Stolen Throne I think. Loghain should be 52-53.

yeah...that book...thanks!
Eamon & Teagan's ages are mentioned right before they go underground - Rowan is thinking about her brothers after the death of her father.
Yeah, Eamon looks way older in the game. Isolde would make anyone any beyond their years. You'd also think that Loghain would have some grey hair by now and he lost his icy, blue eyes - did they have color contacts in Fereldan? Basically, the game artists took some steps outside of book lore. It happens.

Yes I often wonder why they didn't give him paler blue eyes (like Riordan has). As for the black hair, I guess they didn't want to give him his own hair model with just a bit of grey. It's possibly for someone in their early 50s to have most of their natural colour left, but there's usually some grey around the hairline by then.
Ehh, in special cases there are no graying. My stepdad is nearing 50, and he still has blonde hair with no hint of gray at all.

Right, you think he'll be found on a desert island somewhere, muttering to an inflated pig's bladder called Wilson?

Fixed, though too obvious at this point

Or Eamon could look that old from other things, like, I don't know, being poisoned almost to death . . . . .

Is there not a codex entry for Maric? I see that there isn't -- I thought there was.<br />

If you're truly curious, Maric was lost at sea. Nothing more glamorous than that. Sometimes people simply die.
Since I've now read The Silent Grove, I am very curious Mr. Gaider: was that plot already thought up when Maric made the promise to Flemeth in The Stolen Throne?

I think Eamon was the OLDEST of the group, Maric/Loghain/warden father were almost the same age, and teagan was very young like 8-9 years old and didn't take part on the war. Howel.. probably same age of Arl eamon and his family was forced to join maric side.
Nope. Eamon is younger than Loghain, believe it or not. Rowan was the eldest of the family, and she was the only one old enough to fight with Maric and Loghain. Eamon and Teagan were off in the free marches for most the war because they were too young. Though Eamon looks older than god and Loghain obviously aged better.

Even though the developers say he is dead, I stop listening to things like that. So it's possible he is still alive. Maybe he is far up north.
Damn. Two years ago! That only got revealed this February!

I think that's the book canon. Isolde's codex entry mentions that she met Eamon during the rebellion and fell in love, despite being on the wrong side. But that didn't fit neatly into the book, so away it went.

Yeah, it kinda made me laugh at DG's 'Maric was lost at sea. Nothing more glamorous than that. People sometimes just die.' quote.
Now to see if Bioware refutes their 'Dragons are simply animals and not magical at all!' comm--
Oh, wait.

Lol, I just read through this entire topic spaning three years time and Maric went from being run through with a sword, to ending up lost at sea for no apparent reason, to being alive in captivity somewhere.
True story lol,

Behold, the power of the tropes!
This isn't the only trope DAO subverted, that now the property seems to be returning to. I admit, I preferred Original Flavor.
