I want to see the Collectors return in Mass Effect 3.

Yeah we apparently killed them all off in Mass Effect 2 but I think the Reapers are pretty resourceful.  We know for a fact that a Reaper is capable of storing many lifeforms within it's body so I think it makes sense that the Reapers took some of the Collectors with them after the anihillation of the Protheans and continued to experiment with them.

I'm thinking during that time the Reapers could've upgraded them somehow and we can fight evolved super collector type enemies kind of like we fought evolved Husks in Mass Effect 2.

There are going to be enemies we fight on foot in this game and since the Reapers are too big to be common cannon fodder, I think the Collectors would fill the role nicely again.

Another possibility I was thinking of is perhaps there could be smaller, human sized Reaper constructs that we fight that the Reapers designed for the sake of going after a specific target.
The Reapers seem very interested in Shepard so I won't be surprised if the Reapers make an attempt to try to capture or indoctrinate him in Mass Effect 3.

I predict Shepard struggling with indoctrination will be a major issue in Mass Effect 3.

I think you're right about indoctrination being a big issue, I wouldn't be one bit surprised for there to be decisions directly regarding refugees that may or may not have indoctrinated people among them.

I think the Collectors are gone for good, but I fully expect the husks to continue to advance. In two short years we went from the ones on Eden Prime to Scions and Praetorians - I have little doubt that we'll probably see Harbinger or another Reaper 'assuming direct control' of them soon enough.

Yeah, I at least want to see Harbinger return. I want him as the main villain in Mass Effect 3.

I heard some guy say earlier today that gaming sites have said that the thing that Ben (British Sniper) shot was actually a Collector. I say it's a Husk but it's feet look bended, like a Turian's, just like the Collectors.

Yeah, also it didn't have any blue glowing lights on it like all other Husks do.

Naw, bro, I took out the Collectors. It's husk time.

As for Harby, he'll probably be back (with less cheesy lines), and indoctrination is begging to be used as a plot device.

I feel as If I've gotten my collector-fill :) But it's not like Shepard killed off every single one, some must have made it on other plantes, right? The remaining ones should be under reaper control, so we'll probably see them again.

"Assuming Direct Control" . Please don't. :P

I made a poll a while back asking people what they thought about this subject.

What's a "plantes"? Some kind of plant pot?

It'd be nice to see them come back in a small way during the plot, but honestly I don't want to fight them anymore.

I got bored of fighting them after a while, not too exciting now...

It might feel fresh though if they're super mutated collectors!

That all sounds really cool, especially the indoc angle! The Reapers are genetic and general engineering masters and they've been doing this for eons, it would only make sense if they at least had a collector backup disk, they could remake them or have experiments in the works already, sounds good!

I expect a really great mix of enemies in ME3, we saw gunships on earth that weren't getting swated by reapers so I'm thinking:

Collectors, indoctrinated mercenaries / anyone they can get their hands on so Humans Turians Salarians Krogans, everybody, no more Heretics, that's problem solved one way or the  other, but husks and super husks and some new stuff! Would be sick!
