I downloaded it and it looked terrible! Very grainy. My 360 version looks much much better.

Did you turn off the 80's film grain?

Rachni is most likely going to be in there. One of the previews of the comic stills shows a scene with the Rachni Queen in it. Anderson/Udina will most likely be a 5th and the 6th will be potential Love interest.

Wouldn't Anderson/Udina be handled in the same way the issue was handled in the 360/PC versions?

As previously mentioned, that was only handled that way for 360/PC for imports due to the choice not being recorded in the import save (which was made before that choice was given). PS3 won't have that issue because the comic is going to be played during the opening of the game thus won't suffer the import save issue.

I just tried the demo. I'm kinda disappointed in three things : the framerates seem a little glitchy. The engine disformed my Shepard at two points and finally, the dialogue bar is way too low. Also, I found the texts to be way too small for an HD TV. I have 24 inch and my sight isn't that good, but usually I don't have that much problem what characters are saying. Dunno if it has been said before, but Shephard is moving way too slow for a shooting game. I'm talking about walking, not the running option with X button. I don't really like the ability ring. I'd rather have buttons or combinations like in Dragon Age to unleash abilities right there, on the field. It's fun to shoot the enemy, but I find it boring to open up the ability ring on a game that is meant to be fast. Other than that, it was an interesting demo.

Hmm, could someone from BioWare tell us if the game itself will have some fixes before the release? Please and thanks. Good evening.

Yeah good luck with that... That question has been asked several times on these forums since the demo was released and nobody from bioware has responded. I would at least love to know if the sound effect issues in the demo will be fixed in the final version.

Yeah right

Remember them saying the PS3 version would be better, the definitive version? They said the game was using
the ME3 engine. You could hear them brag about how proud they were of the game on IGN and other websites.
Now obviously, the game has been ported since pretty much nothing has been fixed since the XBOX release. Another bad port to had to had to the PS3 line up of bad ports.

Now we see the demo and oops... nothing. You won't here a word from them probably until after the game is released.

If the problems were only demo exclusive, I'm pretty sure Bioware would be the first to tell us about it.

Ugh... I don't want to spend money on a game that has a bad port... If you see what I mean. :\\

Been a while since I've posted on here , Teddie Sage your exactly right.I'm all for 360 exclusives being available on other systems but don't try to rush a port out that's sloppy. To be honest the whole announcement of ME2 came out of no where and given the time they've had it seems like the game might need more time to be properly ported.

Nothing new because the 360 version was a bit rushed out of the door , but it's a wait and see maybe certain issues have been fixed in the retail ps3 copies(Here's hoping).

i just don't understand why people are already condemning the ps3 version because they saw a portion of an UNFINISHED game! its a demo! that's why they always put a little label saying that "this demo is part of an as of yet unfinished game and may or may not represent the finished release" or something like that.

Because around 50-70% of the time a demo usually is representative of the whole game especially if the game is a month away.

It would be counterproductive for Bioware to release an old build for the demo for the game when it's coming out the month after. By releasing an old build they aren't helping themselves in selling this to prospective buyers they're opening themselves up for varying accusations that will in turn lessen whatever sales it gets.

I don't blame those condemning the game already it shows that they are concerned with the quality of the game, it shows that they are indeed interested and hope it would be better.

You might be right about the old build thing but until someone from Bioware confirms that we can't say for sure. Think about it though if you're Bioware trying to sell your game to a new audience why would you release a demo made from an old build of the game that's plagued with technical issues? Bioware should've known that wouldn't leave a very good impression... especially considering the PS3's history of lazy/shoddy ports. Also if it is true that the demo is made from an old build and that the final version wont have those technical issues why wouldn't Bioware take every opportunity they can to let people know that? Don't they have a community manager or public relations person who could spread the word on that?...

Johnny's right. They should at least hire a public relations person for all these kind of matters to report them daily what they got on the boards. You could that supermods, but we really need 'em when it comes down to companies making games and listening to their fans.

That's exactly it , personally for me I just want a fair port released without any technical issues holding it back.I know their's problems with porting from the 360 to Ps3 , but it's no exccuse  to release a crap port because of history. If I'm wrong fair enough , but their hasn't been an announcement that the demo problems are not present in retail copies.

Keep in mind for the Ps3 content their was a reclarification of what exactly was being included , but nothing on the demo.

Erm...it is not a port...Bioware first created a new engine for XBox and PS3 and then put all the assets from Mass Effect 2 into that new engine to make ME2 for PS3...

I didn't have any problems with the demo, aside from two instances of Screen Tearing in the intro that is most likely due to compression to keep the filesize down...

Fair enough , if it's just compression and some problems that have already been fixed then fine. But their needs to be a statement saying demo problems are not in the retail copies.Like I said it' not really asking for too much , especially when they again made a statement about the Ps3 content included.

I didn't have any issues with the demo either, except for a system freeze once. That's not stopping me from preordering though, or dampening my excitement for it's release. Can't wait to play it. Already read up on ME 1 and watched some YouTube story walkthroughs. Hopefully it got me up to speed.

The demo has some frame-rate issues. It really makes me feel sick on 720p for some reason.

We will see , I hope I'm wrong about what ever small issues/problems with the Ps3 version being the best version that's using the newest Heavily Modified Unreal technology (ME3 Engine).
