That the comic and a bunch of other stuff will still have to be downloaded.  It's in his initial post.

Hang on, I just had another look at Jesse's post and spotted something I hadn't paid attention to before.

In the middle of the post he mentions the comic being on the Cerberus Network. But then further down he mentions the 'Interactive Back Story' (which we know is the name they've given for the comic) as being on the disc?

It's only since looked at your enboldment of the latter that it just drew my attention, didymos1120.

So the question is, where is it? Is it on the disc or do we have to get it from the Cerberus Network?

Um, no.  What he's talking about there is the "6 hours of additional content".  That 6 hours of playtime includes what IS on the disc, which he specifically enumerated in parentheses (Kasumi, Lair, Overlord).  But it also includes Cerberus Network stuff that ISN'T on the disc: the comic plus the old CN stuff like Zaeed, Firewalker, Crash Site.   That's how I read it anyway.

aah yeah, that makes sense, when I read it earlier on I was half-asleep and it kind of jolted me when I got to thinking that he could mean the comic was on it hehe.

Stupid tiredness :P

that is completely illogical...why the graphic novel must be downloaded if it is a fondamental part of the convertion? the default story truly sucks...council dead...wrex dead...udina councilor...the renegade ending! i can't access to CN with my ps3...what now?

Nice, hopefully I'll be out of the hospital and be able to download it.

Disappointed that Mass Effect isn't available on PS3. I loved the first one. I just love looting or whatever and having to get the best armor/weapons for characters. For ME2 it was just "hey, but this upgrade for your weapon" which I found boring.

ME1 Collection was tedious and essentially pointless. You got Collosus armor and bought your Spectre weapons.

After that, you farmed Omni-Gel.

Sadly Microsoft owns the right for ME1 so they'll never let it go.

No, you hopefully got Colossus armor, because the merchant stock was random and inconstant, and none of very few the loot containers that had fixed contents included Colossus armor of any type.  On my very first playthrough back when it first came out,  I had no clue the stuff even existed because I didn't ever have a single set of it drop (in any grade), nor did it ever once show up at any of the shops (including the one on the Normandy despite having the Kassa license).    And then I found out about the Geth Armory gear for Wrex.  All I'd ever found that first time through was a single, measly pulse rifle that dropped on f@#*ing Ilos, which of course sucked compared to the Spectre Master gear I'd bought long before that point.  I was quite annoyed by all that, and especially when I realized that, effectively, the function of most of the licenses was to make it so you were more likely to get crap you didn't want and would never buy to appear on the Normandy.

Of course, I now have the PC version so I can just give it to myself whenever I want if the game is being stubborn about dropping it or putting it on sale.

Better question bout disc or dlc! who cares? now i know most of you ned to find every little thing to panic and complain endlessly about, bout this is moronic even by your standards

It effects absolutely nothing wheter the comic or anything is a dlc code, even hobo's on the street have internet connections, so spare those with working brains that tired out exscuse, Bioware & EA have every right to make sure you BUY their game, deal with it.

My guess is that's probably the same thing as on PC and XBox 360: the prologue and the recruitment of Jack.

Hmm, not sure bout the CC forgot to look at that when was watching someone play demo on YT. But it's got a couple of levels in it on the 360/PC version, but I don't think PS3 is getting the same one, I might be wrong, but I do know that on the PC/360 version players could 'resume' their demo character once they got the full game. PS3 version isn't having that function. Which doesn't bother me because all of my characters are going to get run through the comic first and the demo for the PC/360 just uses the default Shep.

Personally I'm hoping we do get to play with the CC in the demo, as it means I can then spend hours making up different faces and getting the codes for the ones I want to use for some of my main game characters. Although I've got one already *points to avatar* Jack is coming back! :D this time on PS3 and this time am going to alter his background (he was default ME2 shep on PC).

Won't bother me if we don't get to play with it, I'll just be happy to be playing the game again and seeing how it is on the PS3

Suppose to come out today on US PSN and tomorrow on the EU PSN.
I don't know what time the updates are usually getting out though.

I agree. The default is completely horrible (unless you're Renegade). I really hope this comes on the disk so all PS3 owners can make their own choices.

Well that's mostly true. However since I have the 360 version there are a few tricks I use to make sure I get something useful. Every merchant in the entire game generates an item stock when you talk to them. So if you save before talking to them, you can keep reloading to acquire something new. Also the Normandy armory re generates an inventory after every story mission. This could be helped by only buying liscences that you need. Like Serrice Council, Geth Armory, Kassa Fabrication, and Armax arsenal. That's how I got Predator and Colossus armor for everyone, as well as all 3 of Wrex's Geth armors and the armor Nihilus wore for Garrus. Sure it was tedious, but now I have Spectre Weapons and a full set of the best armors for every character. Oh right I even have Savant X bio amps and omni tools for everyone. That was also "fun".

Oh and I can't wait to play the PS3 demo. I wonder what it'll be like.

I want to see how it turns out compared to the xbox 360 and pc version.
