any confirmation on ME3 Trailer voice actor?

I doubt this character is just a guy used for the trailer, almost all the ME trailers have featured major characters in the games, this guy could be a squadmate you pick up on Earth.

Also, both Liara and Samara had face models and someone else to do the voice.ShepardOsiris wrote...
OK so he definately looks like Craig Fairbrass, and he sounds a whole lot like Richard Armitage. You know it's not impossible that that's the case. Look at what they did for Male Shepard, Mark Vanderloo as the character model, and Mark Meer as the voice. I'll grant you it's unlikely, but it's possible.

Can't find a thread about this where the correct answer is given. It seems pretty obvious that the VO and model for the character are both Craig Fairbrass.
This remains my bet.
Like people have said, the trailers have always featured prominent characters. There isn't one trailer or cinematic that doesn't feature a squadmate in some form. The closest you could get would be the cinematics of TIM, but they usually throw Miranda in standing next to him.
And seeing as how he has a british accent, he's probably a LI too. British accents are inherently sexy.

You know what? I think you're right.izmirtheastarach wrote...
If you go on youtube, and listen to a couple of clips of Fairbrass' characters in the Modern Warfare series, it is clearly the same voice.

It's possible, they sound slightly different to me but it's still possible.izmirtheastarach wrote...

Just because Sam Worthington is Aussie doesn't mean he can't do a different accent or just tone it down. He doesn't have a strong accent anyways. I'm not positive, but just not ruling it out so soon.
In what I have seen he seems to have a problem slipping back into is native accent.
My guess is as good as anyone else's, but the more I hear Richard Armitage, the more I think it's him (or at least someone who sounds a heck of a lot like him.)
He's done a lot of voicework too.
For comparison, I really hear it in these clips-

and this www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmMVUbW2Djw
which he did narration for.
edit - this might be a better example www.youtube.com/watch?v=czkevG-SwIc

That definitely sounds way more like Big Ben than Sam I'll give you that. Closest I've seen.

This is his Fairbrass' dialogue reel from Modern Warfare 2. Have a listen, and see what you think. I'm still convinced that Crag Fairbrass is the guy.

And he sounds a whole hell of a lot like Richard Armitage, who does - in fact - have range and is capable of grittiness. He's a fine actor. Just because he doesn't have many VO credits to his name doesn't mean he's not capable of landing a role like this one, especially considering his resume.

Fairbrass, however, is an actual VO actor. In the right union. Heck, I could run up a list of a dozen british voices that sound similar in range and accent, all of whom are actual established VO actors. Sam Worthington, who it is definitely not, has at least done some VO work. He was in that godawful COD BLOPS game.
But everyone seems to have their own opinion. I'm just not sure what they are based on.

I don't think it sounds anything like Richard Armitage.
I agree. I don't hear the resemblance either (other than the fact that he has a English accent). But yet there are many people on this board that are convinced it's him, so I don't know what to believe.
Do some real Brits want to chime in on this? (Or maybe you've chimed in already?)

it's the guy who plays the villain in the first "National Treasure" movie or whatever with Nicolas Cage.
Edit: the guy's name is Sean Bean, what's so hard to figure out about this?

I honestly have no idea where the source is, so maybe it's not actually true. Someone else on these forums said that he said it wasn't him a while back... I'd dig around, but I can't be bothered

Someone: "It's this guy, I'm sure of it."
Somone else: "No it isn't, it doesn't look or sound anything like him, It's this guy, I'm sure of it."
Another Someone else: "Your crazy, it doesn't look or sound anything like him, it's this guy, I know it."
Amazing how 20 people can look at a picture and hear a voice, compare to another sample and come up with 20 different conclusions. We some voice analysis software. Or Bioware to just tell us who it is.

I find it kind of funny that accent is being used to justify people's opinions here. A decent VO guy, especially a Brit, is perfectly capable of varying their English accent. You have to focus on the voice itself.
Good point.
