It doesn't. Actually, I am pretty sure that nothing discussed on these forums actually matters. What's your point?

Also, not Sean Bean.

Bean's been pretty busy filming A Game of Thrones for the last few months, plus that's a very specific character model that looks nothing like him. If they were going to cast Sharpe (even in a smallish role) then I imagine they'd probably pimp it a bit more -- he's got a fanbase that'd be useful to tap. Same goes for Amitrage. (Do not mess with Armi's Army, they will cut you.)

I don't exactly hear a perfect match between the Call of Duty guy but it's not outside the realm of possibility. I imagine if Big Ben is actually a companion (or even just a major encounter) then we'll find out eventually. No way to really be sure until then.

None of the squad mates have been played by high profile actors so far. They are generally done by VO actors. I'm sure there are a few reasons for this, not the least of which is that you can pay them scale. The fact that we've been unable to get a solid answer on this, even from the company that made the trailer seems to confirm that he will probably be a character of some sort in the final game. That's certainly been the case with trailers so far.

I'm pretty sure it's Mark Strong now.

I saw the trailer today (Just finished ME2) and the voice sounded so extremely familiar. Saw the face, thought maybe Sam Worringthon, but remembered hes aussie. Thought of Jason Statham but realized how wrong the voice is, but its cause they were in the same movie...

Rocknrolla...

And remember the voice clearly from Sherlock Holmes:

Sorry mate, but you are way off. Whislt I do certainly see the face model resemblance to Fairbrass - it's not his voice.

Fairbrass:

Mass Effect 3 trailer:

Take away the accent, listen to the natural tone and pitch of the voice. It's not him.

Another thing you seem to point out is that actors can change their accent. Not many can - at least, not to this extent. I'm English and I can tell you the amount of actors who are able to morph their accent this convincibly is miniscule. Craig Fairbrass certainly can't do it - if he could, I assume we would have seen him portray another accent other than mild to moderate cockney. It ain't him mate.

And let me ask you this - if it is Fairbrass, why has he decided to completely morph his accent for one role? The character is camping out in Big Ben, so we can assume he is a Londoner. Fairbrass has a fantastic London accent built in. It's his natural accent. So tell me, why would he change it to an incredibly detailed and perfectly inflected South-Western accent that he has never done before in his career?

If Fairbrass is the voice actor of the person in the trailer, I'll give you a hundred pounds - and I'll also give him a hundred pounds, because for him to be able to pull that off is amazing.

It's an insignificant British guy!

I don't trust Mass Effect fans with accents anymore. Some of you thought Miranda sounded British. :P

As a Brit, I think I'll step into the thread and say that, it's not Fairbass or Armitage, nor anyone else so far mentioned in this thread. I don't actually know the name of the actor BUT

I'm about 99% sure, its the man in the British Army adverts (there is alot of them, but I'm sure I've heard this voice in one). I've tried finding the video but can't seem to track it. I'm sure some fellow brits know the ad/person I'm talking about.

EDIT: Part of me thinks it's Ross Kemp, but then again, sounds a bit too gritty for him. Also while it might not look like Jason Statham, it does actually sound like him a bit (but I don't think it is).

It's annoying the heck out of me because I've heard this voice before!!

It's none of these guys it's Simon Pegg, he actually does a lot of voice work for games and he has a very distinct voice. He just sounds a little more serious in the trailer but I'mm 99% sure it is Simon Pegg.

Youtube a clip of Simon Pegg talking and you'll see.

This is the best guess I have too. I'm British. I think it's Pegg. Watch Hot Fuzz when he does his "badass" voice and it sounds pretty spot on. I'm not 100% sure it's him, but Pegg is my best guess. Though in all actuality, it could be someone relatively unknown - but Pegg is the best suggestion. Fairbrass, Worthington, Bean, etc are all way off.

That doesn't sound a thing like Simon Pegg. I've seen Hot Fuzz numerous times so I know the voice you're talking about and that's not the voice in the trailer.

I've just happened to stumble on this trailer again and started arguing with myslef who this could be, hence the Google search which brought me to this thread! :D

I reckon Dominic Keating : http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0444098/ has to be in with a shout. His voice is slightly different in Enterprise, but that was made a few years ago, maybe?
