we'll probably see one somewhere around the time ME3 is released.
why not when the PS3 version is release cause its not fair for the xbox 360 fan if the PS3 can get DLCs packs for free why can't we get a Game of the Year Edition with DLC for free then.

The DLC isn't free, it's included. Mass Effect 2 on Xbox 360 plus the cost of the DLC is cheaper than ME2 on PS3.Commander Shepard453 wrote...

ok so in 2 days the Last DLC for ME2 will be released..now would be a good time to announce the Release date for ME2:GOTY..hope they do it soon.
As quite a few keep pointing out, the arrival DLC is NOT neccessarily the last DLC. It is the last STORY based DLC, it is still possible that Bioware will be releasing non-story based DLC after this.
I would personally be very surprised if they release a GOTY edition so close to the release of ME 3.

Rather than GOTY edition, I want to see ME2 made available on Xbox Live Games on Demand. I want to download ME2 to my harddrive on my Xbox360 with NO DISC SWAP!
This. I already have all DLC, so a GoTY edition would be useless to me. But ME2 on Games on Demand, I'd buy that.

So you'd rather wait to download 14 GBs, when it takes much less time to swap a disc a few times.

Because the DLC isn't over! How many times must I repeat this.
I thought they said Arrival was the last DLC?

I think that ME 3 getting delayed into 2012, strongly increases the likelyhood of a ME 2 GOTY or Ultimate edition. A pre holiday release would be strategically ideal, it would get as many new ME players involved and caught up over the holidays as possible, and then shortly after, bam, ME 3 will come out.

uberdowzen and Legacy-ZA, that post your correcting, was posted 5 months ago. Way before Arrival. Someone decided to drag this topic out of the graveyard. Arrival is the last story related DLC though, it's been confirmed by Chris Priestly and other Bioware devs on these boards. Still a possiblity of a non story DLC of some type though, weapon pack or something like that, but unconfirmed.

Oh right, pointless DLC
