I don't know if that's the right section to post this, I hope it is.

There is a preorder Me3 button on the Bioware website, yet when I click on it, it takes me to the GERMAN EA Store. Yes, makes sense, I'm German and have therefore a German ip adress. The problem is though, that Mass Effect 3 isn't even listed yet in the German EA store.

Yes, I am patient, yes I know it's still a long time to go until ME3 actually comes out but hell, I just wanna drool over the pre-order form like the geek that I am.

Thanks,
Jane

Not the right place to post this: atm the BW Store only sells physical merchandise and isn't connected to EA Store *glad here*. Ask again in the ME general section.

Plus: EA Store Germany usually is way behind the US one. Unless you are able to switch your IP, you will always be directed to Germany's EA Store. Even then, you will probably be directed there.

Put in my preorder today with my local game store! W00t.

yes I know it's still a long time to go until ME3 actually comes out

Not really, Q1 holidays? That's like 3-4 months away. haha, bioware doesn't give much notice lol. I'm so grateful for that, they are the total opposite to Valve hehe.

Um...no. More like 12 months away...and did they say Q1 holidays, or just holiday?

Valve doesn't really give that much notice, considering they still haven't officially announced Half-Life 2 Episode 3. They just DELAY games alot.

It's definitely not coming out in Q1 (they stated Q4, Q1 was probably a typo somewhere). I would expect a December release at the earliest.

Oh, but the video that they released a few days ago said Q1?? aaaw :( boring.

@DukeOfNukes - It's been pretty much confirmed, their not doing episode 3, it's going to be a Half Life 3. And I tell you, I am SO flipping excited for it.

By the looks of it they've gone and change the video.

It used to say Q1.

However gametrailer.com still has it listed for Q1/2011. I thought it was a bit soon, but hey, lets hope I'm right. How awesome would that be. Only a year between ME2 and ME3. Engine wise there wouldn't have to be may changes. bar from the corrections and alterations they want to make. So hey, if they were working on it full time since ME2 was released, who knows, maybe it could be done soon.

that would not be awesome at all. It would mean they didn't spend any time upgrading the engine, and didn't spend much time on the story.

As to Half-Life 3. It hasn't been confirmed, or "all but confirmed", as there's nothing even hinting at it. A LOT of time has passed, that's it...doesn't mean Valve is switching it to a full game...though we can HOPE.

I was reading some news updates somewhere, and that's what they said. I did just make that up myself.
A lot of time has passed because they were working on Source 2.

the magazine (Game Informer) says it's not even sure there will be a Half-Life 2: Episode 3, postulating that the next Gordon Freeman adventure might be Half-Life 3 proper.

Just one of the hard to find news updates. Have a look around. In any case, they are hinting at it which is good enough for me.

besides, they still have so much story to cover and I know Valve is not the kind of people to leave things half done.

If you're having an issue pre-ordering Mass Effect 3, I'm guessing the correct place to inquire what the dealio is would be EA Support or possibly the forum administrator Jeff Roussell via PM. The BioWare Online Store is for anything related to merchandise outside of the games as provided by the fine folks of Treehouse Brand.
