Microsoft has recently added official support for new countries to Xbox Live, including my home country Hungary.
However, all the online content for Mass Effect 2 is unavailable, both the payed DLC and the free ones that come with the Cerberus Network activation. All I get is a list of all the items, but when I try to download I get a message that there's nothing to get.

As far as I know, this is something that has to be fixed by Bioware - so I was wondering if tech support is aware of this problem, and if they have any ETA for the content. I really want to play Lair of the Shadow Broker ;)

Figures, the guy disconnected me during the session. I bet if I was from the US, they would have solved this. Seems that BW/EA doesn't want my money. This is just sad!

Note: Lair of the Shadow Broker is not compatible with Polish, Czech or Hungarian versions of Mass Effect 2. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Just because XboxLive has added support for some countries, it doesnt mean that all games for Xbox are supported in those countries.

Yeah, that's for the PC version which has localized subtitles. But I'm talking about an international X360 version and it should work here just as well.

I take it this requires some fixing from someone and that's why I posted here, to let Bioware know.

So, we're also going to miss out on the opportunity to get the DLCs at 200 points each? ;)

So far, no change on my end. EA support bumped me to MS, MS told me to wait. I guess this is the case of how EA/MS stole Christmas.

Well, can't you just create new account (in fully supported country like UK/US) and purcharse DLC via this new account?

I'm not sure if we can share DLC between accounts. I actually recall reading somewhere that purchased content for ME2 is locked to a single account per Xbox.

Has anyone tried downloading from a secondary acc?

Yes, works for me.

Every Marketplace content is locked to console ( + account, but that doesn't matter if you own only one Xbox).

If you have it downloaded on your HDD, you can play it.

I'll be damed, it seems to be working - Many Thanks Epic Legion!

@vargatom: it seems to me, that Mass Effect 2 lists the available DLCs based on the Cerberus network login and not the gamertag. I created a secondary gamertag based in the US, and started ME2 with it. When Cerberus network asked for a login, I provided my main (ie.: HU) account that is linked to my HU gamertag, and presto: all my DLCs were listed, and I'm downloading them right now!

Be this as it may, I'm not risking the purchase of the payed DLCs, I only used this method to get my free stuff like the blood dragon armor, and the collectors gun. I'll wait for the payed DLCs to become available here in HU. There is some activity over at www.xbox.hu regarding the availability of DLCs, hopefully those guys can accomplish something.

Quick question, is your games in your own language? That might be the problem. They have not translated these things?

@Winterfly: Nope, I play all my games in English. I don't know if ME2 is available in a localised version for the XBOX.

They will never fix this, due to LOSB issues...

The only issue is missing translation(the PC version just requires to change 3 lines of text to run the dlc). No other problems that we, polish part of the community, are aware of.

There is no localized X360 version of Mass Effect 2 that I'm aware of. Thus there are no LotSB issues or any other issues with the content, only with the availability.
