Thinking of buying Ultimate Edition off Steam (especially if it's reduced in the Christmas sale :D) as I still don't own Awakening or most of the DLC but I'm not sure how it would work.  Will I just be able to register it to the same account I use to log into the game now and just unlock the DLC and still get access to my CE stuff?  And will I buy able to use my current save games still too?  Or would it be better to just buy retail Awakening and the DLC separately?  Any info appreciated.  Thanks.

Wondering aswell, I have Dragon Age and some of the DLC Packs (RTO, Stone, etc...) and was wondering if I brought the ultimate edition if it would run into problem using the code on this account. (conflicting with packs I already own or something).

I was coming on here to make a post on this, but this was already here. I was thinking about just removing the registration and re-doing the codes, but I think some of them are already expired. Plus it says they can only be reclaimed once, but I don't know if it's tied to your account or your game.

As far as I am aware, you can just register you UE code with your current account and everything will work. It doesn't matter that you already have other codes active on your account. The only caveat to going with the Steam version when you have the retail version (or any other digital version) is that you should NOT install the Steam version over top of any other versions. Don't mix them! Uninstall previous versions first. This isn't a problem if you buy the retail UE and install over a previous retail, or buy a Steam version to install over a previous Steam version, etc.

There are threads in the PC Tech Support forum regarding glitches with DLC activation that can crop up with the various over-installs, with workarounds/fixes for the problems. In terms of registering, though, there's no problem; same account is fine and there's no need to worry over unregistering anything. The UE code, after all, is just like another game except that it activates all the game/DLC at once.

Ok, sorry I'm getting back kind of late on this, but at the top of the registration page it says
"By registering your games on our site you gain access to game-owner only
content on this site.THIS HAS NO EFFECT ON CONTENT SHOWING UP IN DRAGON
AGE ORIGINS!" Am I still going to be able to use my mini-dlc's like the Blood Dragon Armor, the Lucky Stone, and the leather boot knife (or whatever) on all the DLC's in the Ultimate edition? Thanks about the bit with the installation errors.

I came back to this forum for the same reason.

I bought dragon age deluxe edition on day one, with all the bonuses and I am 1) worried about conflicts with this new UE and 2) still hesitant since it seems i am forced to buy the original game twice.

I wish Bioware would make a simple pack with the awakening + all DLCs. This would help all those with original or deluxe version get up to speed on all the new content.

I bought Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition over steam, a couple of days ago, It includes both the expansion & all DLCs, however there's some issues; Every DLCs will be marked as (Unauthorized), and won't appear in the game. Steam give you a couple of codes - "When the game asks for it, type in as shown here" Thing is, the game NEVER asks you to type in those codes. I've been searching around for a while where I possible could turn in those codes. I found a place on my profile, and wrote down my code and activated, then I had to download a file of 1GB which could not installed neither done anything with. So here I am, thinkin I wasted some money buying the game over steam .. If you can help me, it'd be MOST appreciated. Thanks.

Heres the answers for both questions.

1) Yes you can register the key on the same account. You will have a few problems to begin with due to the account not picking up the fact that you have any DLC in game. To fix this proceed to answer 2.

2) ILostMyMind - http://forums.steamp...d.php?t=1680583 - This steam thread will help you out. Mine was coming up as unauthorised. Followed the thread and it worked.
