So I have just discovered this Mass Effect game and I am hooked.

But I seem to be kind of stuck.

I have killed Fist, or Wex did, but I can't open the Safe in Fists office which should have the evidence needed to become a

So, in my party of have Wex and Ashley, the original girl in my party.



Now I don't have enough Decryption in my party to open the safe.



And as far as I can tell, I can't return to the Normandy yet to switch party members.



So with no decryption what so ever, just fighters in my party, how can I open that safe to get the papers to become a Spectre to get on the Normandy if nobody can open the safe.



Thanks a bunch, I am thinking I could start over since it's way early in the game.

You don't need to open the safe to become a Spectre.

It was giving me fits last night trying to figure out how to change out members to get to that safe.

If you want to open things that early you need to have Garrus or Kaidan in your party(with one more party member you will find after becoming a Spectre) . It helps to have a tech specialist in your party anyway. Also try to NOT let the computer do auto-leveling because generally speaking it stinks. To open most things as quickly as possible you want a tech specialist in the party and throw most early points at Electronics and Decryption.

Also you will still be able to open the safe later whenever you are on the Citadel, so don't worry too much. But by then the contents may not be worth taking anymore if i remember right...oh well, omni-gel ftw!

The evidence for Emily Wong's reporter assignment is on the desk and not locked. You can actually go back to that area and unlock the safe and lockers later.

The evidence to become a Spectre is in the hands of the Quarian you need to reach before the countdown finishes.

thx, I was able to finally find the ship and enter.



Upon doing so, you will lose any outstanding quests in the Citadel area that you picked up before you got to the ship.



Added another 4 hours to this game yesterday, can't put it down.

You wont lose any of the outstanding quests, as long as you dont go to Ilos. Ilos is the poi nt of no return.
