One thing to note if you start using the console to add talents, don't go overboard. If you have more than 10 powers you will run into the power wheel bug where they start dropping off of the activation interface.
From ME:2 back to ME:1, What class works for me?

Folks,
Thanks so much for the help! I used the console commands to add points to the paragon/renegade options so I can see all the different directions the game will go and then built my Vanguard after the templet provided. I really appreciate all the help!

Just makes sure you get Basic Marksman and Basic Adrenaline Burst first. Also get Basic level in all your biotics, to make the most use out of each Adrenaline Burst. After that, get Barrier up to Advanced. From there it's however you like, though I recommend getting Singularity to Master being one of your priorities as it is your bread and butter crowd controller. Don't rush getting Medium Armor until you have a set that extremely superior to whatever Light Armor you are already wearing; the points can be better spent on Pistols, Singularity, Lift, or Shock Trooper.
