I see alot of nut shots on videos of people killing Husks with the Widow.
Why is that? The pelvis shots seem to explode them but chest shots do not kill them. Just wondering what the damage multipliers are and if there is any bonus to nut shots on normal mobs.

All I know is that if you shoot a husk in the legs with a Phalanx or almost any sniper when it only has health left then its legs instantly explode.

Husks, like many mobs, have location based damage that restricts their abilities (example, shooting LOKI mechs in the arm can blow the arm off and stop them from firing; shooting them in the leg and the LOKI has to crawl around with its arms).
On top of that, husks have the special feature that causes them to instantly die when crowd controlled.
Add those two ideas and you find that leg shots crowd contol effect leads to an early death for husks!

Plus if you nut shoot abominations quickly enough, they won't explode.
With the widow specifically, it is also a much easier target to aim at, with only a small chance of missing (compared to say, the head).

Like others have said, one shot to anywhere in a Husk's pelvis with a powerful weapon is a one shot kill. It's even faster than headshotting if you're an infiltrator/sniping solly.
