Indeed somewhat pricey I have to admit. Maybe due to increased VAT in Europe? Shame.. well ,downing anyways.. 's just 10 bucks after all...

Increase in VAT in the UK doesn't happen untill the new year :(

Would have liked for some of the combat tracks to be longer, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

I currently reside in the United States and I have never heard of VAT. Is it some kind of tax?

EA, add them in 7digital or no buy. I assume that they will be added shortly since every other ME2 sound track is available there. It would be nice if they would add ME1 sound track there too.

This is a big bull**** ... at amazon.de Lair of the Shadowbroker is $7.78 and both Kasumi and Overlord are $4.44.

So price for  LotS is 2.6 times and Kasumi and Overlord are 2.23 times more money for the same. Image IPB

Even worse are:

Mass Effect 2 with $7.99 (amazon.com) compared to $23.79 (amazon.de) ... 2.98 times

Mass Effect 2: Combat with $4.99 (amazon.com) compared to $11,89 (amazon.de) ... 2.38 times

Mass Effect 2: Atmospheric with $3.99 (amazon.com) compared to $10.00 (amazon.de) ... 2.51 times

So I bought these 3 with a discount of 50% and still payed more in Germany compared to the US.

Yes, value added tax. Your sales tax would be the closest equivalent, but VAT's a bit different for companies.

Value added tax, we pay tax directly on every purchase we make (with a few exceptions). Was 17.5% going up to 20%, we get hit on some things even worse (40% aprox. of what we pay for petrol goes straight to the government). This is of course on top of being taxed on our earnings.
Still even factoring in VAT we're still paying substantially more for this product (especially galling when it's not even a physical product, there's no shipping costs or anything like that to blame).

It's just what you call sales tax.

As the for the soundtracks, it's about time.

Edit: oh great, the Amazon.com wont let me download them in this country - great. No way I am getting them from Amazon.co.uk where the main OST alone costs nearly the price of all of them combined from the US site !! Load of crap.

Just checked as I really love the ME soundtrack - but I certainly won't pay 7 Euros for something that costs about 3$ in the US.

Three times the price, that warrants the term "rip-off"

It's great to finally have the DLC musics officially. Up until now I only had gamerip versions. The Overlord Music is basically the same as the gamerip, but more clearer and equalized. The gamerip version of the Shadow Broker combat is longer and better than the official, but thats all. Finally now I have the official version, so I won't complain.

Nice! I just hope we get less Jack Wall and more from these people (and Sam Hulick as well) in ME3!

Great music! Nothing tops Jack Wall's music from Mass Effect 1 & 2, but this is all very, very excellent, too!

Well, people have been wondering about this for ages, especially LOTSB tracks. You can't say bioware don't listen to fans, they do, and they do a spectacular job of it too. Now all we need is a few more tracks from the game (as in not dlc), and we're all set, until the next dlc comes out that is. I'm still wondering if there's going to be a lossless format release.

Also, VAT is tax that's added to certain items. Something called a government has increased it recently.
