The problem with trying to pick cities based on known landmarks is that if you do it too often, the idea of the major city recognizable by its landmarks becomes a cliche. It's fine to have London with it's landmarks, but if you then spent time fighting beside the pyramids so you know it's Giza and then fighting beside the Golden Gate Bridge so you know it's San Fran and fighting beside the Eiffel Tower and Arch de Triomphe so you know it's Paris ... well you get the idea. The game becomes ME3: The Seven Wonders of the World.

I'd rather they pick maybe one or two cities with really iconic landmarks like say London and Sydney and then pick some other big cities that maybe aren't immediately recognizable at a landscape glance but would still be faithfully, authentically reproduced so that the dedicated people on these forums can go searching Google Earth until they discover which ones they are.

Hamburg, germany.

Just for some alien-squad-member making an irritated comment about thinking it was a fastfood, not a city.

I want the Reapers to obliterate Earth within the first 5 minutes of the game, making Earth impossible to be the focus and center of the game and plot. Then, not only will ME3 not be ruined, but the series as a whole will not be ruined, ensuring that the focus returns to stopping the a race of sentient gods hellbent on the destruction of all organic life in the galaxy, not saving a boring blue planet I live on and play Mass Effect to escape from.

I was just there over the summer.  it already looks like there was a ME type throwdown in some areas.

Less familiar to people than places like Paris or New York, but still a cool mega-city with recognizable land marks.

You have to show clips of the Monument, the Capitol, and NY's Statue of Liberty!
lol. I know some of you are tired of NY but just showing a clip of Reapers knocking it down would be cool.
Tokyo- For some reason I got a funny thought of them going "Godzilla" lol. Definitely Tokyo, maybe you can put some slight humor in there and have them destroy a movie sign of a giant robot fighting the usual giant monster.
London looks great. Great job.
Hong Kong
Egypt
Israel - I'm aware these three are not cities but you feel me.
Rio
Rome is a great idea.
Sidney
Majulah Singapore

Basically any rich advanced looking city...

I think it would really suck if a game developed by a Canadian company didn;'t have at least one Canadian location.

Fair enough, I was thinking that they'd probably do Montreal or Edmonton anyway though, no? Preferably Montreal in my opinion. The last five on my list are more like the places I haven't been to that would be cool to see Image IPB No one really enjoys LA if you've actually lived there - it has a rep as a "cancer on the Earth" for a good reason, so I'd like to see it being razed.

A lone hovel on a vast, arid steppe, populated only by an old hermit, who walks out and yells at the reaper to get off his lawn.

Basically any major european city.

I also think ME3 is going to be centered on earth, the way this story is unfolding the reapers see humanity as their greated threat, my speculation is Shep will need to convince the other alien races to help, if earth falls then so does the galaxy.
