I don't care who they work for, if their game sucks balls I'm not buying it and SOMEBODY'S not f***ing getting paid.
(Not that I expect it to)
As long as we live in America vs time traveling to the USSR we should be in the habit of expecting more for our hard earned money, NOT LESS.
This would truely be hilarious if you were a game programmer for BioWare, please inform me if that's the case so I can laugh extra hard. Until they hire me as a consultant all those guys need to take some crap on the forums just to balance their otherwise awesome Karma. Balance must be restored to The Force!
1) If the game sucks, then yes, you shouldn't buy it. I don't buy bad games. I also don't hang around forums for said games.
2) I'm not sure that just because a game doesn't have three squadmates, it must make it "bad." ME was excellent and had two. ME2 was also excellent and had two. DA:O had three but honestly I spent more time micromanaging my squadmates that I had a hard time playing my own character.
3) What does the USSR have to do with "expecting more for your money"? Were you even alive during the Cold War?
4) No, I don't work for Bioware. I have, however, been a developer (both game and otherwise) and have a rough idea about how much work it would be to add a third squadmate. Doing it would require a pretty major overhaul to the engine, controls, UI, etc. You can't just hire extra people - see Fred Brooks' "Mythical Man Month" for a more in-depth explanation. If Bioware cuts other features - like missions, other planets, better AI, RPG elements, etc. - just for a third squadmate that only you and a few others seems to be asking for, would cause a massive fan backlash.
5) In any case, the game has already been in development since before ME2's release, and if they haven't already added support for a third squadmate, they're not going to do it now and be able to make their release.
