i noticed in a web chat with casey hudson that at the begining of me2 when you speak to miranda and jacob about your history to confirm how the game would be set out if you dont import, but if you do import it will be a test if you get the answers right or wrong from your previous decisions etc. i have come to notice a bug on that basis if you import from me1. when miranda asks you about who became counciler and say e.g your import was anderson but you say udina to to see if miranda corrects you which was said would happen, instead she just aggrees with you and it changes your decision from me1 just like that which is very annoying considering its not what i chose and that i have to restart the mission to choose correctley just because i wanted to see the different dialog options ( that and to see if miranda got cranky ) so please could a bioware rep advise of whats happening if/when its going to be fixed as it differs from what casey said in the release interviews and confirmed features. Thanks.

It's not going to be fixed, it's working as intended.

Actually this is not a bug. Instead, often, users select the save just prior to the one created after the credits. In the flow of ME1, you'll notice that Shepard steps out of the rubble, then we do an autosave. From there, we make you decide Anderson/Udena then after the Credits roll we do a final autosave. If you didn't watch the credits that choice will not have followed into the save you brought over.

Uh, Jesse, this was not the case for the 360 version, and this is from a player who actually let the credits run their course.

I went through the entire credit sequence on my first playthrough on the PC version as well. When I imported the character, it still asked me who I picked as Councilor. I'm not sure the first game is making that save at all.

Hey guys, at that same point, just one answer before that, Miranda asked me how I felt since Ashley died on Virmire, but I left Kaidan on Virmire, and I imported a character, can you help me? is this an import bug, or what?

Sounds like a bug, that never happened to me, and I had a glitched to heck file and it imported okay.
