The problem is that everyone (almost) in the forums are a bunch of ungrateful whiners. They ask for Earth, BW delivers and now they're complaining that it will all revolve around earth because of a 1:00 min. trailer and a 3 sentence narration.....

WTF!?

False. In fact, it's exactly the opposite.

LOL, ok, you go right on thinking that even though it doesn't apply to ANY industry.

They completely removed the Mako and the inventory system as well as overhauling the combat system based on what fans said. I would say that counts as listening to there fans. This can be both a good or bad thing. People who don't like something tend to be more vocal then people who like or are apathetic about something. I personally liked the Mako when you were actually using it to fight. I wished that they had improved the controls and gave you more stuff to fight with it rather then completely remove it. When you had nothing to shoot at it was boring.

People overreact. It is a natural and nigh inevitable human characteristic. Nevertheless, there are legitimate posts with proper insight upon why they feel the way they do. In a vast majority of games where Earth is involved. It does become the centralized focus. I believe the stir is due primarily to a lack of available content as to what precisely is happening with Mass Effect 3. We have numerous scares, in particular, multiplayer. Therefore people are on edge. People believe if they voice concerns early, it may alter the developers direction. Doubtful as that may be, it is the logic I derive. Granted, some merely complain for the sake of it.

The core fanbase are accredited as the hardcore, arguably fanboy/girl group. These people are dedicated to the series, discuss it at length, create followings to support favorite characters, and yes, post on forum pages. They are usually a small, yet vocal minority as the remainder are casual fans liable to finish the game once or twice and not play or talk about it again for a while, if at all.

I play the game reguraly, discuss in the forums and support my favorite character but you don't see me jumping down BW's throat. When I saw the trailer I was amazed andwill love the series and it's paths no metter what. I even support multiplayer. I think it depends to the level of maturity towards something you don't know about. I understand people are scared but BW hasn't let anyone down so far and they have given no reasons to either. I honestly don't get the people who come up with these kinda things and pass them off as facts.

People will complain about everything, I get that, but everytime they ask for something and BW deliver they complain about the new stuff.

Multiplayer is innovation. Stagnating the series is wrong, has ME or Mordin not taught you anything?

QFE.

It's not as though BW can do no wrong, but they do a pretty dang good job - not just of listening to customers, but of making games.

No offense, however your input is tainted in a nigh identical fashion to those of whom you are complaining about. You have openly conceded to blind fanboying, wherein nothing Bioware does can ever be wrong. If such were the case, Mass Effect 3 is attempting the impossible. It cannot adhere to superiority because Mass Effect 2 has almost achieved the status. It is akin to a God and there exists nothing higher.

There is a difference between objective opinions and complaining. Terror did not complain. He offered first his opinion and then a means to support the claim. This is the basis of having an objective opinion.

And while I have already discussed multiplayer at length; and perhaps should create a thread to detail in constructive form, as to why it cannot be implemented properly. You are incorrect. Innovate involves originality. Multiplayer is anything except original, if anything, Mass Effect remaining a compelling single player game is innovation due to the obscurity of such titles in today's over-saturated market.

actually TERROR made a great point - if you think about it it's like they just took it out instead of just fixing and improving it, hmm.

Clearly you haven't read his other posts then in other threads, but am i putting him down? No, he made a great point here, something i actually agree with.

But of course, pwner does state something that i would agree, most of the forum members here(ME1 fanatics mostly) whine non stop and has openly bashed bioware telling them how to do their jobs. That and some ME2 fanboys running around here to.

When I said that BW hasn't let anyone down I mean that people are still here in the forums hoping for ME3. If they have had let people down. they would not be here. Im reffering to a grand scale, not things like the Hammerhead or inventory sistem.

As for multiplayer, I didn't say IN ME3, as it would probably ruin the game's single player campaign greatly.

@Terror_K: Perhaps while discussing and developing the "we don't like Mako and elevators because..." arguments, the development team had some other ideas that they wanted to add. i mean, we are allowed to fit our own ideas into our own game as well as fan ideas, are we not? ;)

I liked the Mako.... Just needed better handling that's all^_^

I liked the Mako too.  Though I'm on a PC and apparantly the problems, aside from some rather steep terrain, had all been ironed out at that point.

ME1 was perfect as far as I was concerned, ME2 was simply a blatant cash grab to increase consumer base by making it more shooter and less RPG. At least in ME3 they are turning back on the RPG systems.

Okay, no offense, but after doing yet another ME1 run I can tell you it was far from perfect.  Unless they did this on purpose.  And I think it was planned as a trilogy from day one.  Cash grab?  Well yeah, so's every video game.

But hey, I totally get it if you like ME1/RPGs better.  If everyone liked the same stuff, there'd be nothing new to look forward to! :)

It was certainly better then the hallway shooter with chest high walls AKA ME2. ME2 showed the blantant switch in game focus to attract the lowest common denomoninator for the highest amount of possible profit (Let's increase the amount of sexual content but reduce it's maturity level.) . I can't think of anything in ME1 that was actually bad.

Some people want some things and some people want other things. When the games are one way, group A is satisfied and group B complains. When they switch it, Group B is satisfied and Group A complains. This gives the impression that they "can't win" and that the community doesn't know what it wants. They do know what they want, it's just that the community isn't homogeneous with respect to its desires.

The problem is that everyone (almost) in the forums are a bunch of ungrateful whiners. They ask for Earth, BW delivers and now they're complaining that it will all revolve around earth because of a 1:00 min. trailer and a 3 sentence narration.....

You fail to understand the point. People wanted to visit Earth, they didn't want the entire game revolving around saving Earth because it's just one planet. People complaining about the hyperinflated importance of Humans in Mass Effect has been there since the early days of ME2, when the ridiculous human-****** first appeared.

Oh humans, you're so diverse! ****** ****** ****** ****** ******
