yah i want a love interest that doesn't have something to prove or have family issuesMoondoggie wrote...
They could always make human LI's that are actually not boring or plain weird. Sure the Alien characters make ME what it is but they seem to make every human either an obsessive biggot or incredibly irritating.

The fact that that is basically Zevran makes me cast my vote against that particular character design for two reasons - I don't want a copy and pasted character and two, the only reason I romanced Zevran in DAO was because it was the only legitimate M/M relationship in the game. I assure you, if Alistair had swung my way, I wouldn't even have given Zevran a glance. I don't like the 'yeah, I did try to kill you, but now, I want to go to bed with you.' Especially when some of the stories he gives you mention that he slept with his victims first...
Zevren wouldn't be my first choice even on a female Warden either, he seems like the type who is readily jumping into bed with just about anyone infact. Gosh, he reminds me of a male version of Kelly

A female Turian would be interesting, if they manage to make her appealing. Other than that I'd just want returning characters (like Shiala).
Umm btw, you guys all know that Bioware has said that Shepard is strait right? Don't flame, me because I don't particularly have an opinion on the matter, just sayin it's kinda beating a dead horse from what I've read.
It can be done.
****** on Turians? HECK NO!
Turians are supposingly based on Avians. Fully rounded breasts or wide hips in human females indicate signs of fertility and in a way this increases their physical attractiveness to human males. However the same cannot be said for avian species because of dfferences in our anatomy and genetic make-up.
Putting mammaries on Turians would be caving in to the demands of fanboys who sexualize females of other species from a human perspective.

@Aurica: That doesn't have to be boobs on those pictures, the male turians we have seen did have a rather impressive chest so it could be the same for the females. I agree with you though, as much as I love boobs on human females it would not be the turians style.
Ah, my apologies then. If its merely a more pronounced ribcage I guess I can accept it.

I wouldn't refuse if BioWare absolutely insisted on making him a LI intense situations can cause intense reactions in humans after all
I don't think they should make characters bisexual, as such, types of attraction shouldn't be alluded to in that way in the enlightened future. I do think if a male Shepard wants to romance Kaidan/Ben..... (whoever) then surely it can be done without them having to say 'I'm bisexual'', it is unnecessary dialogue.
People wanting to romance a character as a heterosexual should be able to and as a homosexual or lesbian it should be the same. I didn't know for ages that Skye in Jade Empire was romance-able for both sexes until I read it on the net somewhere. And that is how seamless it should be. As a heterosexual woman my Kaidan should be just for me and for my gay friends he should be just for them without either feeling put out by it!

As you mentioned, In JE, Sky and Silk Fox didn't say I'm bisexual or even give a hint of it. I think the DA group was the first I've seen of this. And like you said, In JE it was just if you were female you could romance Sky (male) or Silk Fox (female) and if you were male you could romance Dawn Star (female); Silk Fox (female) and Sky (male). They also gave the guys a 3 some with Dawn Star and Silk Fox. Nothing visual, just fade out. But I wish they had made a separate character for my male monk.
I did have some small problems going back and forth with my games having Sky love my female in one and having him love my monk in the other. I played all the choices plus extra games as female and yep, for me it was hard not to think of Sky with my monk while I was romancing him as my female.
But I would much rather have NPC's with definite sexual preferences and have that preference show up in ever game. (I know, dream on) A guy who is always gay whether I'm male or female; a women who is always lesbian and a straight guy and women. I'm pretty sure they do the bisexual aliens so we have more romance choices, but, yes, Liara looks female and they can say what they want, it's still F/F romance.
I've always liked the romance choices so I'd probably be quite happy with whatever they did. But since this is my dream sequence, I'd also like 2 of each for everyone, one on the evil side and one on the good side and if they don't approve of me for one reason or another or if I couldn't change their viewpoint, I would like to be able to get rid of them. (Zev- could be killed and Leliana could be sent away).

BioWare have been so forthcoming in their other games it is weird that that the only people who seem to not have been catered for in Mass Effect is homosexual men, it is a real shame, no matter how you look at it Liara IS a F/F romance, sorry BioWare, it is....and to say otherwise is an insult to gay fans!
I agree with this sort of. If they had made Kaidan like Sky from day one, I'd live with it, though I really would prefer separate characters. But they didn't do it so doing something like this in the last game really wouldn't make sense to me in my realm of fantasy. I do think however, that they need to bring in a human guy and a human woman who is gay and lesbian.

I am happy with the options bioware has already given us. I would rather continue the relationship with characters I already romanced then to start a new one.
Exactly This.
It's already sad enough that the story is threatening to unfold as though the joke is on us for the so-called 'Trilogy' is in fact the most normal, most matter-of-fact, most "logical" juxtaposition of a Start and 2 reboots.
No mandatorily new love interest. I challenge BioWare to allow us to keep an existing LI as squadmate for the whole of ME3 as well.
Prove to us that you can make that interesting.

I know exactly what you are saying and I agree, I was speaking more generally about the games, rather than specifically and the characters mentioned were merely for providing a reference point, something to clarify my view, iyswim?mopotter wrote...

It would involve too much retconning at this stage in the game (especially given for example, Kaidan's reaction to femshep liking Liara) but hopefully BioWare will return to the way they have before in that there will be choices for all without fanfare, if that makes sense, not - ''Look, we made you a non heterosexual character, aren't we nice'', not to mention making them a bit less...............trollopy, if they are gay, it's quite a rude assumption imo. I'd be a bit offended if I were a gay man.
Anyway, don't want to derail the thread..................
I don't want BioWare to put in lots of new LI's as in ME2, just maybe one, for a Shepard who has remained single in ME and ME2. Maybe even put one in that just doesn't trigger UNLESS Shepard is single......
