The speculation comes from Grayson who was with Aria's daughter.
I can understand humans finding them attractive but it's pretty weird that Krogans,Turians,Salarians and Batarians do too.

I wanted TIM to be a LI in ME3. And look WHAT I've got instead. Trying to kill me because he's working for the Reapers is the very opposite of what I'd describe as a LI.
My second best LI would be Mordin Solus. I fully expect him to die in a most gruesome way possible, or betray me, or try to kill me, or turn into a husk, or whatever dire opposite of a LI one could imagine. Granted, he'd rejected me in ME2, so I likely got the worst of it already.
I like some other NPCs, like Aria, Udina, salarian councilor, Urdnot Wreav (I'm starting to notice a tendency,) Legion, and Kal'Reegar, none of which are even remotely probable to be LI. Generally, my Shepard would prefer to date someone who already holds a position of power - the potential for clash of interests is higher, and so is the drama involved, because it would affect the story more profoundly. A romance is only interesting to me insofar it allows me to alter the direction of pre-set events.
But of course, romances are not supposed to affect the story. They're local and and insignificant.
Other than that, I find all the teammates very boring. Pity we're usually restricted to dating a squad.

Zaeed and TIM are the ideal romances for a Pro-human renegon/renegade femshep but that's sadly not to be.

Kasumi also could be bi. Went with Keiji but who knows what else shes done. Seems adventurous enough to be open to it.
Human male perhaps a bit harder then Kaiden or Jacob.
Human female thats a tad more normal then the existing ones. Gianna Parasini could fit that bill well and I think people would really enjoy her return.
