 Now, I normally dont care for achievements, but its mass effect, so I want to get 100% on it.

I want to play an existing profile, so how do I setup an existing profile to be hardcore from the stat (I tried to load up a save while fighitng saren, switch it to hardcore, beat it, and load up that profile, but no dice).

Same goes for insanity.

Just make sure that in the options menu the difficulty is set to Hardcore or Insanity BEFORE you leave Eden Prime. Then continue through the game as you normally would. If I remember right you have to beat the Hardcore difficulty setting before unlocking Insanity.

All of that is correct, BioticInfiltrator.

As for MarchWaltz, that goes double for Insanity: make sure Insanity is set before you leave Eden Prime and then never change it for any reason.

That's how I did it (on the 360) and the achievement popped no problem
