It makes the most sense for these characters to stick around, well maybe not Zaeed/Kasumi but I like them the most. Of course my hunch is still that no characters from ME1 or ME2 will actually be part of your ME3 squad, they'll just have cameo roles. Well Ashley/Kaidan may come back but I'm guessing they'll be part of the next DLC for ME2 instead.

Hmm...ideally, I'd like everyone back. But if I just pick a handful, it boils down to Garrus (for obvious fangirl reasons), Miranda (gotta have my second-in-command biotic sister), Liara, Wrex, Tali, Legion, Mordin, Samara, and Grunt. Those are the characters I REALLY want on my squad.

Most importanly Liara, then Tali.
Garrus and Wrex would be next in line.
Then probably Legion, Jack and Grunt in that order.
Rest of the Squad could be all new people for all I care.

1.) Garrus (don't think there are many people who get shot in the face by a Gatling gun and can still comeback to make smart ass comments)

2.) Miranda (Aside from commanding a great deal of respect, is powerful and intelligent, she is hard as hell to kill, being squishy isn't going to get you far)

3.) Grunt (The Perfect Krogan, is there really much explanation needed for him?)

4.) Mordin (A engineer capable of counter acting advanced technology in a lab with a single assistant, seems like the best chance to counter act Indoctrination.)

5.) Liara (She's tougher stronger, and matured into someone who could be a very valuable asset)

6.) Jacob (Despite his uptight personality having one character who can play your conscious is probably a good idea to have)

7.) Samara (I think having a voice of reason is a good asset, it doesn't hurt to be insanely powerful biotic either)

8.) Aria (I think there is more to learn about her, and it'd be interesting to see the Asari who single handedly stole Omega)

9.) Tali (Really don't have much of a reason at this point other then I find her more interesting then the remaining. all her Skills are easily replaced depending on who's left)



Garrus and Miranda are good leaders, and are really good at surviving and following direction given too them. I put Grunt ahead at Mordin because between the three of them I think you'd shoot the super genius first. So having grunt there to take the bullets seems like the best idea. Liara kind of goes side by side with Mordin more for her knowledge then her combat skills. And the rest just kind of even everything out.

Hm just thinking, what if everyone's busy?

Liara is the Shadowbroker.
Tali could be busy with her own people again.
Wrex probably same.
Garrus could be the new turian Spectre since far as I know they never found a replacement for Nihlus and Saren, and Garrus is probably the best candidate by now.
So basically that would only leave Legion, Jack, and Grunt for me, because they don't really have anything better to do than hanging out with Shepard.
