How do you feel about the Mako vs the Hammerhead?

Take the armor from the Mako and put it on the hammer head and you've got a miniature MWD.

The HH would destroy the MAKO in a fight. It would outrun the MAKO's turret by simply staying at the back of the MAKO while pounding it with missles and ramming into its behind. The MAKO would be too slow to respond.
Be honest, man. Mako = Zoom + Cannon = Hammerhead's sudden death.
The Mako can even play "cat vs. mouse" against the Hammerhead: circle around it dodging its rockets while continuously firing at it.

No silly, the HH is far faster than the MAKO so the HH would be the one doing the circling around. The HH does more damage as well since the missles are more lethal than the turret and the cannon can only fire at intervals. The MAKO is a sitting duck as it cant turn fast enough to face the HH.
And the MAKO can't dodge guided missles.

FYI: depending on the player's gunnery skill, the Mako can destroy moving targets at distances exceeding it's "target lock" range. Which is longer that the Hammerhead's locking range, and the Hammerhead rockets are uselss if it can't lock on target.
Oh, the Hammerhead can do the circling around if you wish, but it will be to even greater Mako's advantage! The Hammerhead won't be able to fire at the Mako while circling around it, while the Mako will follow the Hammerhead with its rotating turret and continuously fire at it with both its cannon and coaxial machinegun.Skilled Seeker wrote...

Anyway whilst them too are busy playing cat and mouse, in comes an A-61 Gunship missile hits the Hammerhead out of contention swiftly followed by it tearing into the Mako with it's twin M350 Accelerator Machine Guns, all the while dodging any cannon fire.
If you aim at fast moving targets like the HH from a distance then the HH will effortlessly dodge the cannon shells. The cannon shells take a few seconds to hit distance targets but in a split second the HH would have moved out of the way.
The HH on the other hand can fire before the target reticle shows up as long as you are facing your target and the missles will home in on the MAKO no matter where it runs.
Actually depending on the player's driving skill the HH can easily be made to constantly face the MAKO and fire off missles while circling it and it would still outrun the MAKO's turn speed! The MAKO turret is incapable of firing upwards so all the HH has to do is hop around above the MAKO and the MAKO would be unable to respond.

One cannon shell is more lethal than one missle true. However when calculating DPS the HH is easily superior since most of the time the MAKO would be firing its machinegun with the cannon at intervals and that cannot compare to a constant barrage of missles. Furthermore the cannon shell is the projectile that can easily be dodged as not only is it slower than a missle but it also does not follow the target. So you plain out lie by saying that the missles are slow and can be dodged when clearly the opposite is the truth. The missles do area damage as well.

Interval won't be an issue when the Hammerhead gets blown up on the first direct hit.
It takes more than a single hit to destroy it though admittedly a hit would be slightly damaging. However you won't be able to land any hits with the cannon at all when faced with a good player that keeps the HH in motion and doesn't get too close to the MAKO.
LOL You cannot dodge a homing missle by hopping, it would just follow you up. The MAKO is super slow and cannot outrun a missle.
I don't even need to get into which vehicle is better for navigation and travel. While the HH effortlessly glides over all solid terrain at sound barrier speeds when fully accelerated, the MAKO bumps and bounces across plain land and cannot handle challenging terrain at all without a hell of a rollercoaster ride.
Bioware should release a multiplayer minigame that allows us to fight each other in vehicles so I can show you true power!

Whilst the Hammerhead does have to turn around, it's turn around speed is just as fast as the cannon of the Mako and erm... if the missile is a homing missile, the Mako jumping isn't going to do squat.

Its clear you have no points to defend your feeble argument which is primarily based on lies and misconceptions or you would counter my points with something better than regurgitating the same old BS. I'd see your slow ass MAKO and its slow ass archaic cannon shell from a mile away.
Don't be an idiot, a toddler can dodge one of those shells with the HH.

Its a shame because most of ME2 has been dumbed down to make it easier and more accessible for more gamers. I'm not buying Mass Effect to play a platform game jumping over moving lava rocks. I can no longer exit my vehicle to explore or engage in combat on foot anymore.
The only problem with the Mako was the terrain, and most game targets had a road to get to them but you didn't realize that until you actually got there. If these roads had shown up on the mini map that problem would have been solved. Or just had nicer maps without mountains everywhere.

He'd posted it twice in back to back posts before editting it out. He refuses to reply to my points as he has no answers and knows the HH would smash the MAKO in a fight. But he doesn't have the balls to admit he is wrong.

I know the MAKO would smash the HH in a fight with a single shot (unless, of course, BioWare cheated and nerfed down the former and upgraded the latter for such a death match). But I can see that you ain't going to see to the obvious (or even agree with the masses), so I argue that the Mako is simply awesomer, even by the "splosionz" standards. The Mako does "BOOM", while the Bombatron does "puff-puff-puff".

This forum does not in any way represent the masses. It is a very skewered pessimistic version of the truth as most forumites have a bone to pick with Bioware since when people are happy about something they tend not to voice their approval which is a shame.
"Logically", the single advange of the Bombatron over the Mako is speed, so you could possibly make it a draw by permanently running away. The moment you tried to attack, you'd bring it in range of the Mako's cannon, powerful enough to take it out instantly with a single shot, so "logically" you have no chance.Skilled Seeker wrote...

Also, "logically", the Mako "minigame" was a small simple tank simulator. The Bombatron minigame is a super-simple 3D arcade platformer. To each their own, they say, although it's kind of lame that BioWare made such a shift in their target audience policy within one series. "Logically".
Now, you can "logically" reply to this, and go get yourself a cookie, as I'm done here.
