Ok, enough already, I love looking at Mirandas tight flexible...."armor"
admiring all her "genetic qualities". But it was utterly ridiculous
that in combat situations squad mates like her and others except for
maybe Tali, Garrus and Grunt and Legion have nothing even resembling
armor. (especially with those stupid masks...) So vote yes if in ME3 you
want your squad to wear their normal casual wear on the ship but on
away missions they wear armor. (just like it made sense in ME1 but then they decided it wasnt good enough ..cuz it made too much sense apparently)

Poll to vote on it

Absolutely...One of my main things I want back in ME3 is more variety on guns and armor with Shepard and squadmates...I used to love outfiting my crew with the best stuff...not having any choices sucks

The negative answer was way too sarcastic to be taken seriously but I do agree with you.

Tali kinda makes sense, there's no quarian armor. Even Reegar uses his suit.

The others though....as much as I hated the armor system in Mass Effect 1, at least they looked like professionals.

Edit: There's no quarian armor in the sense of Shepard's N7 armor but I digress.

Got my vote.. I think they should bring the lockers (or one big one) back, and have them be like yours is on the sr2. Have a place where you can select what they wear as casual so if you want them running around in skin tight spandex, go for it but if you want them wearing a uniform then the option is there. And have a few armors that you can have them wear for out and about missions. In fact, I'd love it if the dlc armors were available for them too. I want to see an entire squad dressed in blood dragon armor :)

Though the lockers from ME1 were kinda tedious.

It was like, okay, time to hand out the loot. Okay go to Ashley's Locker....okay now Kaidan's locker....okay now Garrus' locker....oops I didn't give it out this armor, it has a nice feature, now I have to go through it all again.

Give everyone like a row of lockers and just some panel on the wall next to it that you organize gear through.

Yes.

It was silly for Miranda to only wear the skin tight body suit into battle. This was one of the main reasons I din't bring her into fights.

The Illusive man doesn't go into fights with his nice suit. He goes and get's some armor.

I don't even care if we can't choose the armor that squadies use just as long as they are wearing it.

Yes that goes for Jack as well.

I'm not saying make it like mass effect 1.

They could put one big locker in the crew quarters. It'd be just like your locker in the sr2 where you can select one of 4 different casual options and then whatever armor choices become available. I only visit the locker once for each playthrough really because I generally decide how I want my armor to look at the beginning of the game, same for casual...

I wasn't disagreeing with you, I just want don't want a throwback to ME1 if they adapt that idea.

Also they can get creative....give Kasumi like a space catsuit for her thieving operations.

They could all have a standard unique amour like Shep has in ME2 that you can customise bit by bit. Always wanted to give my Aegis vest to Mordin. The only research scientist who was essential to the mission was running around Tuchunka fighting the Krogan wearing a labcoat for protection!

I'd like armor to be back. They can even have their own personal version or something. For me, I'd like to choose armor types, but then the characters choose casual wear.

Using Shepards armour system and giving it to Squaddies would be the best. I would also like the casual wear and armour idea. Adding peices to Legions armour would have been a very good feature.

For every player that wants Miranda(i.e) in armor when out in the battlefield, there's another who likes her the way she is.

I believe the best solution would be a happy medium to cater all tastes. In other words, let there be THE OPTION for such changes and customization. Variety is never a bad thing. Play your game the way you want, let others do the same. Everyone's happy.

A mix of Hybrids 3 and 4 from adam_grif's poll, for example, I think would be just the thing. :)

One thing that was great about ME1's armor, was that you could choose a certain "look", albeit in a limited fashion (light, medium and heavy armor restrictions) for Shepard and squadmates, that you think suited best their personalities, abilities, etc; or the armor that looked the best in them, or maybe you didn't care at all about the way they looked and just went for the armor with the best dmg protection, or you tried to balance all these things out. That was our choice to make.

ME2 really pushed the envelope with casual outfits and customization, but took a a huge step back in terms of variety, in my humble opinion. I'd like to see all these combined for ME3.

Shepard should be able to equip his crew from commands on his omni tool. This would save him/her the footwork of running around the Normandy. Traversing the ship unneccesarily was one of the more tedious things of the ME series.

Oh God I remember Miranda with that stupid little breather mask like that's going to protect her brain from getting sucked out into the vacuum of space through her ears and eyesockets! WTF?

I should be able to appreciate her body back on the Ship but out in the field she should be appropriately dressed so as not to get shreded by the first bad guy with a half assed pea shooter. Also I could do without that picturesque booty distracting me while I'm getting shot at.

That being said finding good gear in ME sucked! It seemed like whatever armor I had that worked the best, always looked stupid! And whatever armor looked the coolest, had the crappiest stats!

Eventually I did end up finding a good set of armor that also looked cool, but then it felt impossible to find the same for all my squad! Having been in the Navy my favorite was Scorpion Armor, cool name and desert camoflage, with Mantis bringing up a close second, same and jungle camo. Eventually I found sets for myself and most of my squad that worked good BUT IT TOOK FOREVER. And even then I could NEVER find any for Turians and Quarians!

So when I first starte ME3 and found I could customize the look of just one armor I was stoked! Cause I always want my squad to be uniform, and now I could everyone's armor to match without looking for the right set FOREVER. But then it turned out I could ONLY edit mine, and most poeple didn't wear any WTF??? I was uber pissed! Hope they fix it so everyone has armor, and you can edit the look for everyone in ME3 will vote now.

It was even worse when I got loyalty and got the new outfit reward for a character. BECAUSE IT WASN'T A NEW OUTFIT! It was the exact same outfit in different colors, sometimes just an extremely slightly different collor scheme!

I was alright with Miranda's outfit, granted I never take her in Tali's Loyalty mission or Space missions. Though if everyone wants a happy medium of both then maybe BW can do what they did with Morigan in DA:O. She has an outfit that is restricted to her, but she is able to wear other outfits like the mage robe. Maybe the same can be done to a character like Miranda in where she'll have an outfit restricted to her, but she is also able to wear armor if the player so choose.

In anycase I miss my Titan Armored squad.

The lockers were fine if u used all the characters. I usually kept with two characters per playthrough. Either way, I preferred to equip my characters whilst away from the Normandy. It just seemed to make it more interesting than the locker route.  I am all for better armour for my squad on away missions PROVIDING THEY DONT HAVE TO WEAR HELMETS! If they have to wear helmets, no way!!!  There is just far too much conversation for helmets to ever be considered. This is a very important point!!!!!

Yarp.

Actually, I want optional armors. Not just two skins per character (and another one which you can PAY for... sigh, paying for a skin, who came up with that idea?), but armors, helmets, all being optional, whenever I feel fit to use them.

And for no-gravity / skin-irritating air situations, for the love of god, a space suit.

Keep the load out screen and the locker in the armory. Those lockers were cute and all but they are way better in the rearview mirror.
