I think the only people that don't really wear armor are the biotics. It would be cool if they had different shipwear and combatwear, but it didn't bug me that much in ME2.

Proper team mate armour?  Oh HELL YES!

Personally, I think they should use the N7 armour system, most of them have human style bodies anyway.  With the exception of the Krogan, the Quarian, the Salarian and the Taurian, everyone could quite easily use Shepards current set up as it is, so with a few tweaks and additions for ME3, I would imagine that the N7 armour system could probably be implemented just fine.

Although I would have to ask that Bioware include a helmet toggle and throw a few light/medium armour pieces into the mix.  ( Oh, and make the armour bonuses mods instead of inherent. )

I think that it would be spectacular if, like Shepard's armor, you could customize your squad's armor. I would enjoy coloring Miranda or Garrus's armor, swapping shoulder pieces, etc.

I always thought Miranda's outfit was armor anyway. Mordin and Jack were the ones that I thought looked wrong. Plus Grunt's exposed arms and almost everyone not having a helmet.

Miranda's gear always bothered me a bit. If I wore something like that, I wouldn't be able to walk, breath, etc. let alone try to fire a weapon.

Yup... they need no longer look like extras from an X-Men film....

Yes please!

I love Miranda. I get that she's a femme fatale. But if FemShep can look hot in armor, so can Miranda.

I don't want ME 1's system. But I think ME 2's system should go for all squaddies.

And no heels. For the love of God, no more heels in combat.Posted Image

If you are in city mission where all npcs wear cloths, do you wear combat armor?

Eh, I support this, but some people should research space vacuum... It certainly is as not as dangerous as you present it.

The best option would definitely be casual outfits for all characters, which they would wear on the Normandy (like they did in ME1) and a modular armor system for all characters when they are outside - in hubs, or on missions. Of course, the modular armor feature would only make sense if different armor pieces would actually have different stats and provide different bonuses, rather than being purely cosmetic like they were in ME2. I honestly didn't feel the change in gameplay, no matter which ME2 armor combination I made. If this isn't possible, I'd even be satisfied with the ME1 armor system, where armors were one-piece deals, providing the look of the inventory is revamped. I actually think the KoTOR inventory system worked pretty well - it had different equipment categories, no inventory cap and enough sorting options to make sure you spend very little time searching for the item you want. Anything's better than having characters run around (especially in vacuum, or toxic areas) without proper protection.

Garrus needs his armor, the calibrations are dangerous...

but yes, I support the idea, it makes sense

For the love of crap, yes. I'm sick of seeing Miranda and Jack ditzily running around like a pair of tarts with only a breather-mask on between them.

Yes.

It was silly for Miranda to only wear the skin tight body suit into battle. This was one of the main reasons I din't bring her into fights.

Seriously? Thats an bad reason. Her squad bonuses are amazing!

This is one of those rare complaints of ME2 that everyone is in complete agreement. I'm positive that Bioware will do a better job with squadmate armor in ME3.

yes. Some kind of armor that looks like it will protect them against the environment and weapons. This was really one of the few things I never understood.

I can live with not having customisable armour for each squaddie like ME1 but please give them at least one beleavable set of amour. This way they can keep the characters distinct look and not shatter immersion.

I'd love to have some city missions where you don't have armor and the only weapon you and your team have is something like a small 9mm Px4 Storm or Glock 19 you keep at the small of your back, under your arm or in an ankle holster.

Armor or atleast something that looks like it protects you from exposure.

I really hate seeing my squad mates walking arround in hazardous environments with exposed skin or obviously unsuited clothing. This completely destroyed the previously established realistic tone of the franchise turning it into some bugs bunny cartoon vision of the future.

I like Ecael's suggestion of having armor for missions and ME2 style unique casual clothing in secure situations (on the ship) like Shepard. Suit up for the mission! That would be awesome.

The great thing about the armor in this franchise is that it looks pratical for combat and against exposure, yet remains visually appealing and pronounces the body shape. Please take advantage of your art direction BioWare.

Man Im so glad that so many people think like I do, even though I am aware of the whole "space vacuum is not like in the movies" argument, it is just generally ridiculous the way it was in ME2 with so many circumstances and occasions where armor was definitely needed no matter what argument others may put forward to the contrary.

Also, yeah ok space / vacuum exposure isnt like in the movies where you just asplode, but at the same time three points I believe are very valid:

1) If NASA could send their people into space wearing revealing spandex and a breather mask, then Im sure they would do that instead of spending millions of dollars making each space suit.

2) Even though your squad mates may never be in open space, they are frequently exposed to hazardous environments and vacuums (think jumping from the derelitc reaper to your ship) and its just plain silly the way some of your squad is dressed.

3) Come on, no one is gonna be able to shoot much less run around a combat zone wearing high heeled boots or repell ammo with their funky tattoos (you know who I mean) :P

My preference would be a mix of ME1 & ME2:

-- Have each squadmate look as unique as you can make them
-- Have each squadmate actually wear something that looks like "combat gear" with fully sealed suits, helmets, etc. when needed [This broke immersion for me when squadmates used partial masks in certain environments]
-- If you want to allow for different Armor types like ME1 feel free to have them give stat differences but the "look" can be the same
-- Allow for light, medium, and heavy armor types as appropriate to character & class.
-- Feel free to allow for customization of armor pieces similar to Shepard's

FYI: I support even "goons" having at least Health, Armor, and Shields.

Let me say this... Miranda's "armor" is GREAT if she's doing what Shepard did on Samara's loyalty mission. It also isn't SO bad when she's on board the Normandy or in any sort of casual setting. However when it comes to combat? It's a no go, plain and simple.

Edit: It should also be mentioned that seduction is a powerful weapon and Miranda's outfit and looks are exactly for that purporse - ok /end edit
