I want it to look real. The appearances of some of your squaddies in ME2: definitely not real.

Seriously, I swear I'll never understand nerds and fatties.
This, after reading the thread asking for a "FemShep with lots of muscles". I just don't get it.

You people must be really insecure about your own bodies and sexuality, that's the only explanation. Loosen up, let it go. That's Miranda (not you), her clothes fit her personality and profile perfectly. One's fashion choices are often how they express who they are, they're introducing us to a fictional character, her personality, her pathos, and the way she dresses is a big part of it.Put her in Robocop gear the entire game and you lose a big chunk of the character. Because of what, prude uptight hypocrite and insecure fans?

I get that it'd be cool to have the -option- to put squadmates in armor when out in the battlefield. But it seems to me that the armor is not the real issue here. Some are clearly more concerned that she's in heels, more worried about her femininity and the fact that she's a strong female who owns her sexuality. How dare she?

Yes, let's just put a burka on her and burn the witch at stake....

Okay, so your statement means I can enlist in the army and fight in a war while wearing a V-neck. Gotcha! Wish me luck......

Pretty much what I said. When shields fail a hardsuit is needed and what Miranda is wearing is not a hardsuit. Something like the cerberus assault armor (albeit modified and more sleeker) would work well with her personality in ME2, as for ME3 we're still unsure what her role is going to be.

But as for casual wear yes, her skintight outfit suits her as does Jack's harness and tattoos, Samara's age with grace, and all others. However if BW gave players the choice of a more conserative look for squadmate's casual wear - something more formal for Miranda or something with a little less cleavage for Samara I wouldn't be opposed to that as some people really take showing skin badly..

Yes! They need to switch the same as Shepard does for combat. It was just silly. Especially when in airless areas.

You do know that I'm talking about the armour thing, the topic of this thread... right?

-- Give each squadmate 1-2 unique sets of casual gear as standard + 1-2 unlockables for gaining loyalty.
-- Give each squadmate 1 default set of combat gear with fully sealed suits, helmets, etc. + 1 unlockable for gaining loyalty
-- Allow for light, medium, and heavy armor types as appropriate to character & class with varying bonuses that can be customized based on preference and play style.
-- Allow for customization of armor pieces similar to Shepard's using the previously identified L/M/H types if you want to tweak the default suits for aesthetics, functionality or both.
-- Provide additional options w/ reasonably attractive stats bonuses and aesthetics through DLC

This thread is so unrealistic, more then the actual issue. Fashion in ME? Really?

WTF are you smoking?

No one is talking about fashion, they are talking about character getting armor when on missions, perferbly just like Shepard's N7 armor can be customized for different bonuses.

God, now I remember why I don't visit forums for games beyond EvE Online. It's filled with complete idiots.

Out of everything that they can improve in the next game this is a issue, wtf?

I'm sure I'm alone in this opinion, but I'd rather have the squad's clothes stay as they are. For me, the their clothes added to their personality and reflected their character a bit. Thane and Jack just wouldn't feel like Thane and Jack walking around in bulky N7 type armor. Of course that's just me.

Exhibit A.
No, sweetie, they are all naked. That's how far evolved a society they are.

Just btw, fashion, not necessarily = Gossip Girl and Sex and the city.
If they wear clothing of any type, it's there. When you decide to change Shepard's N7 armor colors, there's a reason.

It was utterly ridiculous to bring Jack to the Flotilla, she was going around half naked!!

A system for squad mates akin to Shepard's would be most welcome.
Actually I wouldn't even mind If can't customize their armors. That way squadmates would still be easily recognizable ( I can't help but think what wonder would Jack add to her armor to fit her tastes... X] )

I do not want characters who never wear armor in the beginning like Miranda and Jacob or Thane and jack to wear armor, I like them the way they are. Even if we are given the choice to have party members to wear armor I will always forfeit the cloth wearing party members to not wear armor.

Yes. I totally support some type of armor for companions on missions. I get that BW wants their characters to be individualistic and iconic. I do get that, but the outfits in ME2 go beyond just not making sense (like getting shot in the face w/ a laser beam and incurring only a few points of damage). I almost feel like it's some sort of marketing strategy that goes nowhere. Pity is this is unlikely to change as they are doing the same thing to DA:2 companions.

Glad I have a PC and at least Shepard can lounge around in whatever the hell she wants.

Yes all squad members should have armor in battle. Tali is already in her armor so maybe should could wear a tough chest plat or something other then that she’s fine. Squadmates should also have customizable armor or cool armor like Mercinary to wear. I’d like to see Tali’s suit more then change color maybe she has the wrapping effect for one then another version she could wear would be no wrap but with really neat cyber patterns on it or something. I don’t expect her to wind up with decals of skulls but more then like we got in ME2 where you gain her loyalty and her suit changes shades. I’d like a few Quarian unique and different styles of suits for her to wear for 3 with different properties maybe for fun she can become the Tali VI.

If in a safe zone like the ship or Citadel they can wear their casuals all they want maybe we can get a few more casual choices for crew too that aren’t DLC but already in game. I don’t mean 50 just like 2 or 3 I liked Jacks vest idea I just wish she had one more clothing choice so I could switch between them every so often.

Maybe I'm the only one who noticed but only Shepard ever wore N7 armor. Except Legion's shoulder piece. Shepard is the only one allowed to wear a 7 as the commander. If you just mean military style armor fine. That's why people are asking to be able to customize. I actually would like if they wore a character preferred style. As for their personality, that's what good voice actors are for if you can't see their faces for some reason.

I forgot to add that Thane alternate appearance ( DLC pack ) shows what I would expect as armor for squadies. It looks more armor like than his normal outfit yet he is still recognizable as Thane.

( Just remove those awful sunglasses and earrings and he is good to go! )

An elegant solution: a toggle. Those who want to stick with the campy suits can, those of us who want common sense and realism above all can have it too. It's still a mile away from the diversity of Mass Effect (1), but a lot better than the retextured main suit we have as "loyalty outfit" now. I'd prefer at least a casual suit and an armor for each squad mate in the vanilla game. At least.

Armour, armour, armour. Have them look like the companions in ME1, where you could believe that your team was about to enter combat and kick butt. Not like the ridiculous casual wear from ME2.

I'm all for that. Like I said in a previous post in this thread, let there be an -option- for even more customization. Let there be more variety, a happy medium and a solution that would cater to all kinds of tastes, in such a diverse player base.
A plus, a bonus, if nothing else.

I'm against the petty little tyrants shouting my way or no way. Not asking, so much as whining and demanding, ignoring their fellow player that might have a different opinion, no less or more valuable than theirs.
