This, after reading the thread asking for a "FemShep with lots of muscles". I just don't get it.
You people must be really insecure about your own bodies and sexuality, that's the only explanation. Loosen up, let it go. That's Miranda (not you), her clothes fit her personality and profile perfectly. One's fashion choices are often how they express who they are, they're introducing us to a fictional character, her personality, her pathos, and the way she dresses is a big part of it.Put her in Robocop gear the entire game and you lose a big chunk of the character. Because of what, prude uptight hypocrite and insecure fans?
I get that it'd be cool to have the -option- to put squadmates in armor when out in the battlefield. But it seems to me that the armor is not the real issue here. Some are clearly more concerned that she's in heels, more worried about her femininity and the fact that she's a strong female who owns her sexuality. How dare she?
Yes, let's just put a burka on her and burn the witch at stake....

You do know they're not all human... right?

Okay, so your statement means I can enlist in the army and fight in a war while wearing a V-neck. Gotcha! Wish me luck......

Pretty much what I said. When shields fail a hardsuit is needed and what Miranda is wearing is not a hardsuit. Something like the cerberus assault armor (albeit modified and more sleeker) would work well with her personality in ME2, as for ME3 we're still unsure what her role is going to be.
But as for casual wear yes, her skintight outfit suits her as does Jack's harness and tattoos, Samara's age with grace, and all others. However if BW gave players the choice of a more conserative look for squadmate's casual wear - something more formal for Miranda or something with a little less cleavage for Samara I wouldn't be opposed to that as some people really take showing skin badly..

You do know that I'm talking about the armour thing, the topic of this thread... right?

-- Give each squadmate 1 default set of combat gear with fully sealed suits, helmets, etc. + 1 unlockable for gaining loyalty
-- Allow for light, medium, and heavy armor types as appropriate to character & class with varying bonuses that can be customized based on preference and play style.
-- Allow for customization of armor pieces similar to Shepard's using the previously identified L/M/H types if you want to tweak the default suits for aesthetics, functionality or both.
-- Provide additional options w/ reasonably attractive stats bonuses and aesthetics through DLC

This thread is so unrealistic, more then the actual issue. Fashion in ME? Really?
WTF are you smoking?
No one is talking about fashion, they are talking about character getting armor when on missions, perferbly just like Shepard's N7 armor can be customized for different bonuses.
God, now I remember why I don't visit forums for games beyond EvE Online. It's filled with complete idiots.

No, sweetie, they are all naked. That's how far evolved a society they are.
Just btw, fashion, not necessarily = Gossip Girl and Sex and the city.
If they wear clothing of any type, it's there. When you decide to change Shepard's N7 armor colors, there's a reason.

I'm sure I'm alone in this opinion, but I'd rather have the squad's clothes stay as they are. For me, the their clothes added to their personality and reflected their character a bit. Thane and Jack just wouldn't feel like Thane and Jack walking around in bulky N7 type armor. Of course that's just me.
I'm with you.

A system for squad mates akin to Shepard's would be most welcome.
Actually I wouldn't even mind If can't customize their armors. That way squadmates would still be easily recognizable ( I can't help but think what wonder would Jack add to her armor to fit her tastes... X] )

Glad I have a PC and at least Shepard can lounge around in whatever the hell she wants.

If in a safe zone like the ship or Citadel they can wear their casuals all they want maybe we can get a few more casual choices for crew too that aren’t DLC but already in game. I don’t mean 50 just like 2 or 3 I liked Jacks vest idea I just wish she had one more clothing choice so I could switch between them every so often.

I'm all for that. Like I said in a previous post in this thread, let there be an -option- for even more customization. Let there be more variety, a happy medium and a solution that would cater to all kinds of tastes, in such a diverse player base.Burdokva wrote...
An elegant solution: a toggle. Those who want to stick with the campy suits can, those of us who want common sense and realism above all can have it too. It's still a mile away from the diversity of Mass Effect (1), but a lot better than the retextured main suit we have as "loyalty outfit" now. I'd prefer at least a casual suit and an armor for each squad mate in the vanilla game. At least.
A plus, a bonus, if nothing else.
I'm against the petty little tyrants shouting my way or no way. Not asking, so much as whining and demanding, ignoring their fellow player that might have a different opinion, no less or more valuable than theirs.
