I would be very supportive of this! Love the characters in both of the previous ME games, and I am a huge fan of romances, but deeper friendship paths would be much appreciated, and it would add a lot to the game. As it is now, I sort of feel as though I'm not properly connecting with some of the characters in ME2, since my FemSheps are reserved for Kaidan and Liara.

I totally agree. I couldn't stand trying to talk to Jacob, why do I have to look like I'm hitting on him whilst talking to him?

Actually Jack is the perfect example of a character who needs a friend rather then a lover. I agree that the friendship arc with Jack through ME2 was good and left off at a good point (if you get the 'I like you alright, lets leave it at that' line), but once ME3 rolls around and Jack and Shepard have spent more time with each other I think their friendship can grow.

You're probably right but Jack wouldn't think she needed a friend and that's the rub.  The writers were being true to her character when they made it that way.  Maybe she can warm up in ME3 after you're been through some more things but it would've been too soon on ME2.  You could argue she fell for Male Shepard too soon as well but then again Shepard's pimposity is overwhelming.

I have some pretty solid friendships going with Jacob, Garrus, Wrex, and Thane. The women are another story, though, so I really can't comment on that. The only woman I really ever talked to on the Normandy was Ashley. I can't stand Jack, Liara's voice is annoying to me, Tali (at times) seems autistic, and I kill off Samara for Morinth in every playthrough. We all know you can't really bang Morinth, as much as you might like to. To me, the only woman worth talking to in this game was Ashley. I've got my girl, and I'll talk to my other female crew members and get to know them, but I don't want more than that.

What you are missing is that while the non-LIs will keep talking to you the potential LIs will only talk to you if you are romancing them, otherwise they'll have one or two conversations with you and then go on about 'calibrations' for the rest of the trip...

If you tell a LI  "I Just want to be friends" they wont really talk to you after that its like

"oh you dont want to hook up, well go f*** yourself"

And the bromance thing is genius. you bring Garus with you alot he will start to high five you and crap. LOL that would be funny.

yeah i guess there firends but you really are not true 'friends" Like maybe in ME3 you could go get drinks with squadmates. Or just hang out and crap.

This was a complaint I've been seeing since ME2 released. Hopefully Bioware will listen to us and so far they have yet to dissapoint.

I agree with this. If you can't do multiple relationships ( I always thought the asari were cool with this) then you should be able to just chat with your female crew members as I like having dialogue with the squad. Also make Jack more than the "I'm the psycho **** because I've been hurt in the past and I need love but I'm really putting up walls," character as I got irritated by her saying "F_ _ _ off." I rather have her be the "yes I am the psycho **** but dadgummit Shepard you're not only my commander but also my bud because I respect you and you could kick my ass" type of character. Also it felt kind of mean letting of Tali that way lol. I was like goodness man can't I just say "Tali you're hot but I like us as buds" or I'm w/ this chick here or something like that.
