Yes, my thoughts exactly. If this idea was ever implemented I couldn't help but think that all the way through.

Let´s not go there with the copying system. If everything was like that we would never have competition between anything. Nike wouldn´t be against Adidas. It´s not a bad idea for EDI to take a human form. Sure there is Cortana, but we can argue this to the end. I mean Data from star trek is a sentient android(older version of what is now called a humanoid) so if we want to go that route Halo shouldn´t bite off star trek. lol this is non sense plus many of the fans have been asking for a joker romance.

I wouldn't mind her appearing on my screen as Shodan, just for the lulz.

Or consequently goes mad ...

Joker: "Reapers! EDI, program evasion pattern!"
EDI: "Sorry. I cannot do that, Jeff."

For the topic:
I find her representation somewhat weird. Maybe just a face (like in Overlord) would be an option.

The Mass Effect Universe already has its Sexy Holographic VI. Avina, from the Citadel. EDI should be different. Also, agreed that we don't need Cortana 2.0, or Holographic Number Six.

A ships AI to have a human form  is not a new idea. Andromida had Romi and even Transformers did this with one of their computers in a secret base. I even remember an old cartoon called Defenders of Earth had a computer that had a computer that had the form of a woman when it comunicates to the heroes.

Anyway, I personaly don't want Edi to have a body. She seems a lot more unique being a blue sphere.

I feel that it's weird talking to something that looks like a human but is actually a computer.

I think not having one is overall better and more interesting for her character.

Sounds bad to me, EDI has more personality and impact as an orb.

Giving her a body is a very inside-the-box way of expanding on her character.

Besides, fellas, we all know the SR2 is classier than any lady could ever be.

Don't know about that, she's been invaded a few times before she learned to keep her honor.

She's a ship, not a human/alien. People and they're crazy fantasies.

I won't lie... I want her to have a body too lol but it would get even weirder between her and joker. EDI is entertaining as hell. "I love the sight of humans on their knees" - "That was joke."

O have an idea someone screenshot me an image of Joker's eyebrow raise on that scene!

I can see BioWare giving her a sexy female body (probably holographic) to out do Miranda because thats been the trend, we had Ash/Liara in ME1, the more feminine & curved Miranda in ME2... imagine ME3!

I know what you mean, but it's not like it's hard to find pics of Tricia Helfer or that there's lack of curvy chicks with revealing clothes in the Mass Effect universe. I say let the Asari keep their jobs and don't turn this into Captain Kirk's Too Hot for TV.

Oddly enough, like others said, it feels like EDI has more personality because she lacks a humanoid body. The idea of being inside Tricia is kind of kinky, too.

Besides, i love that Seth Green gets to have a romantic/sexual hinting relationship with 6... without a body. Oh sweet irony!

Besides besides, EDI is the superior life form. Shepard should turn himself into a space ship.

Unless of course they put her into some sort of specialised mech body or something.

It'd be cool to have her as a squadmate - connecting to a specialised mech from the Normandy

Good idea, lets give EDI a sexy holographic body so that Shepard puts even more trust in a VI installed by "cerberus"; actually I like EDI and I like it the way it is, but I get the feeling EDI will be turning on Shepard and crew in ME3, a little hidden programming by cerberus, I am hoping however Shepard gets the choice to destroy the program without destroying EDI.
