From what I understand she often frequents the warmer climates correct? I'm sure thats her take on staying cool, or perhaps keeping the crew under her sway?
Besides I often ran around Cryodile in nothing but that cloth wrap, dont see the big deal here.

When I first saw that image I thought of the second, but I don't remember seeing the symbol in DAO, and the only thing that I can think of the top of my head would be the Old Gods, but I'm guessing this symbol means something different, don't suppose the preview stated where Varric was at the time?? (I would check but my German doesn't really go that far)
