Would you still buy ME2 for PS3 even though you already own it?

I just got a preview of what ME2 would look like on the PS3. The visuals look more sharp and clean than the X360 version. Even though I do own it for the X360, I'll probably get me another copy for the PS3. But is it worth the buy over a graphic enhancement? Thoughts?

No. But if they release the comic via DLC for the 360 it could save me time on my planned 7+ playthroughs of ME in preparation for ME3. But even then I am still leaning towards no.

I don't own a PS3, but even if I did I would not re-buy the same game that I already own for a different console.

Until I see a 360 vs PS3 comparison vid/pix, theres absolutely no reason to buy another copy for the PS3, even if the visuals are slightly better.

If the 1% to 3% difference in graphic fidelity is that important to you...why go console at all ? You could have just bought the PC version instead of waiting a year for the PS3 port that still won't run 60fps @ 1080p.

I don't think, I would do that. However, should there be a Mass Effect trilogy box after ME 3 is out, I may consider buying that for the 360 (currently owning the PC versions)

No, I would never play ME2 without being able to import my ME1 saves.

Naw, I'm of the same train of thought, that I wouldn't buy a game for console if I already own it on PC.

IGN has it up on their main page. Check it out.

I wish all new games were on demand. We're getting there, though. MS has been increasing on demand content at a rapid rate. Alan Wake was available two weeks ago.

Honestly, I've been thinking about this today, but at this point, I've just played this game too much to buy it again. I have played ME2 eight times with four different Shepards, I still need to do one more to have all my saves in order for ME3, and frankly, playing ME2 four more times on the PS3 just to get the same savegames for the PS3 version of ME3... no, thanks. Even if the Genesis comic really does allow you to reconstruct your entire ME1 save with every detail intact, which I doubt.

The comparison is very quick and not very useful. They showed Jacob with a higher contrast on PS3. But, the key factor will be frame rate.

I think the biggest thing they could do better on the PS3 is the clothing textures because there's more memory available. It would only make a difference in cutscenes, but it really is kind of an issue with the 360 version (and the PC as well, for no apparent reason.)

Haven't decided yet, but my urge to double-dip is increasing after watching the video on IGN.

@spacehamsterZH - also the blu-ray will fit the whole game so no need to switch discs. Maybe the video and audio won't be compressed either.

EDIT: And I'm not sure but I think the 360 and PS3 have the same amount of memory, it's just split into two different pools on the PS3. Don't quote me on that though. I've never programmed on a PS3. :P

I wouldn't even waste the money on the gas to go look at it in the store. EA's worest decision ever. And personally, i'd like to know why microsoft droped ME and let EA take it over.

Because they had no choice. EA owns Bioware and therefore have the rights to publish everything of theirs. Microsoft had no say in the matter whatsoever.

Troll much? I guess only 360 and PC users get to enjoy Mass Effect.

EA/Bioware is in bed with Sony and was pissed that Microsoft did not release the rights to ME1 for the PS3. Don't be surprised to see the Sony group get special treatment over the xbox or PC crowd.
