I expect it will look sharper on the PS3 but seriously IGN make it look like cr*p on 360 which it really doesn't. I have both systems and am not a fanboy (or woman, to be more accurate) their comparison is an insult to BioWare!
Either way, I am looking forward to playing on the PS3 and enjoyed the podcast greatly.

I thought this as well, I needed to turn on my 360 just to see if it really was that bad, which it wasn't . PS3 version does however look slightly better, but PC version is still the best

I guess this is a matter of taste in the end. I personally only ever bought PS products.
I played xbox 1 and 360, hated the controllers. I just don't like them, I got used to my dualshock.
I played PC to and well, I hate playing with a mouse so much. (I have ME1 on PC) The
only type of game that I like playing on PC are RTS.
In the end it's all about the games and there is nothing on the other side of the fence that
would make me want an xbox (except mass effect ^^) But when EA bought Bioware, I knew I did
the right thing waiting. my favorite franchise are all on PS and most of the time are exclusive. It's also 
a blu ray player and god knows I like watching blu ray's all the time.

Well for one, I always fancy the idea of playing Demon Souls, God of War, Uncharted, LittlebigPlanet and Modnation Racer over generic shooter #269. Plus you cannot forget teh blurayz!!111!

I would say there's better first party support really. 360's online leaps over PS3's online though.

Finally the PS3 gets some Mass Effect. I'm not a fanboy, but as long as Bioware offers the same thing to both consoles and PC, then there is no problem with me.

Well before the Xbox 360 Slim (Is that what they call the new version?) came out, the PS3 was a better bang for your buck. You didn't have to pay an extra $100 for wi-fi. Blu-ray is nice too.

Now you say that you like the 360 controller over the doulshock, and I find that most FPS players would say the same thing. Me on the other hand, well I haven't played a good FPS since Perfect Dark on the N64 (Another reason I got an Xbox). Heh, Im old.  So I dont play 'em anymore. Anyway, I find the 360 controller to be bulky, the shape and position of the joysticks hurt my thumbs. And from an aesthetic point, its ugly as hell and that battery pack looks like the designers almost forgot about it just before launch. Also, you have to pay an extra $30 just for a rechargeable battery.

I used to be a Nintendo guy, but then they came out with the Gamecube.<_< So I moved to PlayStation. Personally, I find the xbox has no advantage over the PS3, so thats why its my system of choice. Heh, we've gone a little off topic here...

I was thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis close to buying a 360 just for mass effect (and to a later degree, gears of war) but seems i'm saved $300+ and glad to hear mass effect 3 will be day one with the others, was a lil worried bout how that'd go down

I thought this as well, I needed to turn on my 360 just to see if it really was that bad, which it wasn't . PS3 version does however look slightly better, but PC version is still the best 

I have a rubbish PC so can't play it on PC til I get a better one, but I will get it when I have something capable of running it, then I will have 3 places I can play Mass Effect, and that is great.........

i wonder about the comic...if shepard him/herself shows up in it....it'd be wild if it used a clipart library to "generate" your shepard in the panels, although that would probably mean he/she'd only have like a handful of poses...





if it's after the opening mission.....i'm betting it's a part of the ride over with jacob and miranda....that'll be kewl.

Does this mean that the PC & 360 owners - who have already paid for this content above and beyond the main game - will see a patch now? Or will the PS3 adopters get the same broken paid content the rest of us did?

360 user here, and while I'm glad that PS3 owners are going to experience this game, something has been bothering me.



Will the PS3 version have the same bugs the other versions have been stuck with (Samara/Morinth Audio glitch, squad shields capping of at 250, etc)? Or are they fixed in the PS3 version?



If they are fixed, I feel it's only fair that 360/PC owners get an update fixing them too. If you miraculously update the graphics to match the PS3, you all get a gigantic cookie

The graphical improvements cannot be implemented through an update. It's a new build of the UE3 engine. They've modified it. However, the bugs corrections can be implemented through an update, and if they've fixed it for the PS3, I'm sure they'll be distributing an update pretty soon.

It's just a generic Shepard in the comic. Which is exactly what the in game generator gives you. God I hope Bioware improves that character maker for ME3.

Words can't describe my love for all things ME! So I have both 1&2 collectors editions on 360 and am defo day 1 buy on PS3, only thing I'm holding out for is news of collector edition......anyone heard anything?
