The game will support Windows 7 32 bit edition. We'll be reworking the requirements text to remove this confusion. All versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 will be supported.

We'll be releasing more DirectX 11 information as it becomes available (obviously this is still work in progress). If you have any specific questions about that let me know, we'll do our best to answer them.

What sort of things are you guys doing  with DX11? Tesselation, compute shaders? I know it says the recommended DX11 card is a 5850, but performance wise, is something like 5770 not enough for whatever DX11 is doing?

Looking forward to hearing more about DX11:wizard:

Without going into too many details (this is work in progress and we won't promise features until we've completed our research), we're looking to take advantage of both tessellation and compute shader support on DirectX 11 for specific applications in the game. Don't expect all objects in the world to be tessellated on DX11, as our base mesh density is high enough to begin with (so that the objects can look good on all platforms). However there are a few specific cases like terrain where tessellation can make a quite visible improvement.

The game will have various configurable detail settings and you should be able to tweak the settings on your system to find a good balance between DX11 features and performance.

Great to read things are cleared up. Now I can gladly preorder the Signature Edition without more doubts other than my G-Card being possibly low end requirement (GeForce 8600m GT 256MB).

Like with all mobile cards, all we say is "the game may work with them but they're not officially supported". The reason is that we can't test all notebook GPU/driver combinations that are out there. From what I heard DA:O ran well on most such systems, but we still can't guarantee DA2 will support all of them. For what it's worth the current version of DA2 works on my mobile 9300M.

Will it support DX10.1?

Seconded. Will those of us with DX10 capable cards be able to use it or is it either DX9 or 11?

Yes, you will be able to use the DirectX 11 renderer with DirectX 10 or 10.1 hardware. DirectX 11 is backwards compatible with DX10 hardware. Obviously some of the very high end features that require DX11 hardware will be disabled, but if you have a DX10 card running DA2 with the DirectX 11 renderer selected it will give you the option to turn on more visual features than DX9 has available.
