I'm a bit confused I must admit, I am going to have to do some homework on my hardware and find out if this is going to run like bollocks on my comp.

It should work fine. I, however, have a 64 bit, and am running off Bootcamp, so I am playing with 12GB of RAM. Even though that doesn't matter one tad. It makes me feel special.
Did you really just write that for the sole purpose of putting it out there?

Im buying a new computer just for this game. I dont want to play it on minimum graphics, like i did for origins (so it probably wouldnt even play)

Yes it will work.
The difference between a 32bit and 64bit system is simply support for hardware. You can build larger high end rigs on a 64bit system.

If you're buying a new comp (OEM?) it should come with Win7 x64. I don't think retailers still sell Win x32 on new models.tacopacabana wrote...

The 8600 M is on its last legs, but can beat minimum, I believe, or get pretty close.

( P. S. What is all that program code you are cluttering up the bottom of your answers with? )

I'm more of a video graphics specialist, actually. I edited my brief answer; I really don't know about that so-slow Core Duo you have, though .. it very well may trip you up!

Okay - I figured I'd have to update my computer - guess I know where my tax refund is going lol
EDIT: I think it has something to do with Firefox. I'm using IE right now and it let me edit and delete the all of that weird programming.

So im not much of a computer expert but my nephew is building a new PC and im wondering how well it would run this since Origins had some problems on my old one. Its an AMD Phenom II X4 810 processor, 8GB of RAM,an ATI Radeon HD 5770, with Windows 7 64-bit.
I'd advise him to drop down to 4gb of ddr3 RAM, since it won't make much difference at all in games, 4gb will run games fine for ages, and get himself a better graphics card, using the saved cash from the RAM. Something like an ATI 5850 or Nvidia gtx 460, just my two cents

Intel Core 2 Duo at 1.8 GHz
Asus EN 8600GT 256mb DDR3
2 GB RAM
OS: Windows XP SP3
At the moment I won't be able to upgrade too much. Probably going to change the video card, but I'm sticking with XP for now. I can't stand Wind7

I bought and use Win 7 some, but not for games. It is far better than Vista had been when it was brand new. Your 8600 GT has suffered more from the passage of time than it seems it ought to have, but I think nVIDIA just turned their collective backs on their Geforce 8n00 generation after they got the 9n00 refreshes out their door.

You can't stand Windows 7? What?
It's a hundred times faster and more intuitive than XP ever was? It's practically bug free now, and I haven't bumped into a compatibility problem ever since the Release Candidate builds.

I'm pretty sure I can run this game...but does anyone think it will be choppy or anything. I know i cant run it on the recommended settings but will I be able to run it smoothly if i choose lower quality settings? It's a HP G61-632NR Notebook PC, 2.1GHz VISION Technology from AMD with AMD Athlon II Dual-Core Processor for Notebook PCs M320, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Graphics
Thanks
This doesn't really stand a chance of running the game. You'll be lucky to even start the game nevermind make it run smoothly. Notebooks like this are not made for gaming the GPU is set up for buisiness not gaming in mind and it's gaming performence on modern games will reflect this.
I don't get why so many people who want to game on PC's buy netbooks, I know they are portable and whatever but they are stripped down and lack the horsepower needed in CPU and GPU to effectively game. And they are non upgradeable.

I'm not going to even post my specs, it might cause someone to laugh so hard they explode causing a cataclysm that destroys the universe and prevents me from playing this game ON MY XBOX 360.
