The game will support Windows 7 32 bit edition. We'll be reworking the requirements text to remove this confusion. All versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 will be supported.
We'll be releasing more DirectX 11 information as it becomes available (obviously this is still work in progress). If you have any specific questions about that let me know, we'll do our best to answer them.
Great to read things are cleared up. Now I can gladly preorder the Signature Edition without more doubts other than my G-Card being possibly low end requirement (GeForce 8600m GT 256MB).
I think that's slower than the required 7900 GS, especially because yours is a laptop version. However, you could run DAO on very slow hardware, even on Intel chipsets. I assume you played origins on that laptop and I also assume that this means you can run DA2.
Well I figured since it is 8 series compared to 7 series that the card is more or less on par. I can play Dragon Age on high settings without major hickups (only Denerim Market slows down) so I think I was fine.
Is the card really below the minimum requirements?
I am not good with technics so if you know, tell me.
The 900 cards are usually faster than mid-range cards from the next generation. The Geforce 7900 GS is about as fast as a Geforce 8600 GTS, which is faster than the 8600m GT. However, there are two things you should consider. First of all, DA2 runs on a tweaked version of the engine used for Origins and I wouldn't be surprised if it actually runs smoother (ME2 runs smoother than ME1). Seconds of all, BioWare/EA makes lots of mistakes, including contradictions, in their system requirements. Take the requirements as a guideline but know that they're not necessarilly a hundred percent accurate.
