Usefulness-wise everyone has some good qualities for me even poor Jacob.

In ME1 I could absolutely not stand Ashley - she annoyed the hell out of me. Also Liara up to a point. But in all my playthroughs that weird quarian gipsy girl stayed on the ship the entire time. In all seriousness I didn't take her on anything, not a single time. Came and talked with her few times, bore me to death so she became an engine rat ever since. Work on those engines and don't bother me.

I can't complain though cause basically she stayed there in the basement the entire time unlike Ashley who bothered me with her opinions etc. Guess what happened Ashley dies every single time on Virmire.

Always took either Kaidan, Garrus or Wrex.

ME2 well a few actually annoyed me. I liked Garrus (obviously), Jack and Thane. Mordin was also cool, Samara was okeish. Miranda was meh, Jacob was neither bad nor good. Guess what happened to Tali, stayed on the engine all the time. Then asap gets a rocket headshot every single time, never gets old ;) Legion was cool, Grunt was all the same to me.

Zaaed was boring - same tired british badassery that's so cliche and annoying. Kasumi was meh, nothing special.

So long story short - Tali, Zaeed and Miranda.

Feel free to flame me all you want or critique. If it's constructive, I will reply. If not Tali gets another rocket in her metal bucket of a head B)

The Cerberus kids.  The Alliance kids were also my least favorite in ME1.
I found Kasumi and Zaeed (especially Zaeed ) to be much more interesting/useful human squaddies, even if they didn't have real dialogue options.

If Zaeed and I don't get to roll through London shooting whatever it is ME3 allows you to shoot, I will be a sad panda.

Jack. Jacob is a close second.

But as a whole, I found the ME1 squaddies more likable/lovable.

If I could have one more squaddie on a team of 6 to take with me into ME3, it'd be the ME1 squad along with the ghost of Kaidan Alenko. Which basically IS the ME1 squad, but you know what I mean.

I miss that atmosphere....which is why I'm going to start a fresh playthrough for Mass 1 and 2 to import for teh final act. I CAN'T WAIT! Mass 1 characters and I.....it just FELT like we bonded through natural events....it wasn't forced....it was a friendship forged through the fires of conflict....we saw them at their best, and at their worst. Truly epic story-telling.

I couldn't stand Ashley's bigotry. Fortunately I found a way to deal with her...permanently. In mass Effect 2? Hmmm, I really liked them all but if I had to choose it would probably be Tali because of her stubborn, and idiotic views about going to war with the Geth.

Miranda. I always felt that I couldn't trust her. Even after a paragon ending with Miranda, I couldn't help but feel that she'd do anything to get what she wanted, even if it means shooting a trusted friend. At least Samara warns you that she might have to kill you once things are over.

Jacob. Jerk. Don't like Miranda much.

I could say Tali, but I ignored her more than actively disliked her. In ME 1 I disliked Tali.

Yeah, I felt more interconnected with the ME1 squad.

With ME2, not so much. There's squaddies I'd love to keep around, but I never felt like I forged a friendship with them.

Kaidan- Friends from the start
Ash- Stranger to Acquaintance to Friend to Lover
Garrus- Acquaintance to Best Friend
Wrex- Had our ups and downs(Virmire) but still close friends
Tali- Very close friends(secretly having feelings for each other)
Liara- Close friends

But with the rest, which I won't list(too many), the friendships I have with some feel forced.

Others feel natural.

Others I'm not even really friends with.

For example, I'm comfortable with Miranda and feel like there's a respectful friendship with Mordin, but I wish I had more time with Thane. I feel that could be a really good friendship, and it is, but could be much better if there was more time.

While with Jack, I just don't like her. That, and since I'm a Vanguard, she's useless to me.

Jacob is just boring. Kaidan puts him to shame on the interesting factor, and Kaidan wasn't even all that interesting.

I could go on and on, but there's so much to cover.

It's a tie between Tali and Jack. I find them not only annoying characters, but they also suck in combat.

To be fair, Tali was just a walking Codex in the first game. She was a beast with the shotgun however, but really lacked any character development.

Then it does the exact opposite in me2, improved her character, but gimped her combat ability. (You need dlc to make shotguns viable...)

Zaeed and Jacob.

I never got Jacob's character and he was really really boring.

Zaeed is just a douche and I don't like him.

This is kinda hard because I like all of them in certain ways but if I have to choose it would be Miranda and Jack.

Jack needs to shut her trap.

And Miranda rubs me the wrong, the control chip line...

I really want to like her more because she is Sarah Walker but its not working.

I dont mind Jacob, personally.

I dont like Tali (too much of a Shep fangirl that it gets annoying) or Jack (friggin psycho who threatened Miri, how dare she!).

Other than that I like everyone else.
