Same here, Jack is a blight upon humanity.

I actually think Jack is very interesting, but I guess she was never designed for everybody to love her...
Anyway, Jacob. He was alright till he tried acting all badass about his pre-Cerberus work, when he just became irritating. Plus he's useless as a squadmate.
Zaeed is alright, but he's just kind of a poor replacement for Wrex in terms of the squad's badass. Grunt's also kind of dull.
And how come near everybody with an Asari avatar hates Garrus? I like Liara and Garrus
Really though other then Jacob their all alright characters.
Gameplay wise, Legion completely gets rid of any use for Tali. Samara and Jack are both pretty useless on anything above veteran as well.

Jacob.
As much as I hate to say it he is forever doomed to be 'That black guy in Mass Effect 2' :/

I don't dislike any of the squadmates, though I did find Jacob to be really boring, due to his reluctance to talk about his past in the Alliance.
The least used squadmates for me were: Jacob, Zaeed, Tali and Mordin.

It annoyed me that they made him as stereotypical as they possibly could with the MR.T style lines. Almost as annoying as the fact the writers need to remind us every few minutes that Kasumi is Japanese.

I liked Garrus in ME1(he was one of my favorites), but "ME2 Garrus" was a disappointment to me.

I thought like Tali he improved in the 2nd game character wise, but I can see why the character change wouldn't be to everybody's tastes.Barquiel wrote...

Also... the characters of ME are so much different from each other... so it cames quite natural that if you like a certain character you'll easier hate or dislike another. The important thing is respect the tastes of everyone, sharing or not their opinion. Garrus evolved from a cop just a bit naive and bored of rules into a Punisher-like character, that's a thing that personally I loved, but that can be easily seen as a too extreme evolution of him and meet a certain dislike.

Garrus and Zaeed. The two occasionally made me want to kick them into a ditch somewhere, but I'm too nice and still saved them anyways.

I personally like all squad mates, but my Shepardz' would probably have distastes for some. For example, my first playthrough was a paragon so when recruiting Samara I was all starry eyed and going "Awesome!". The cut scenes with her dialogue came across well, espcially when asking about romance (made my Shep look kind of young and naive in comparison, which was a nice change), and I could actually see them being good friends after the mission.
Later when I played renegade I didn't want to kill Samara still because I personally liked her, but when she sad she was probably going to Justicar my ass just because my tactics at saving everyone was a bit 'shoot'em from the hip', she really got on my nerves.
I'm on another renegade playthrough now and have just recruited Morinth, and I can't say that I like her, but I can definately understand her better than when I just killed her because Samara asked. It actually makes Samara seem kind of selfish; she hasn't technically 'lost' a daughter before, the other two are secluded and fine and the other one ran away and has to die because she was born with a disorder. Samara isn't even after Morinth's redemption anyway, she wants her own for giving birth to her. Plus as a mother I really can't see how she could kill her own child, even if said child is evil. Samara doesn't even try to incarcerate her, she just wants to go straight for the neck squish.
Didn't mean to go on like that but yeah, ParaShep would hate Morinth, ReneShep really didn't like Samara.
Couldn't get that across in the dialogue between ReneShep and Morinth though, it just sounded more like,
Morinth: I hate my mom lol
Shepard: Ok, I'm recruiting you because Mwuhaha, you're eeeevil.

In terms of story, I never liked Jack, though I could understand where she was coming from.
Gamewise, I can never get anywhere with Tali... When I need to use her, she's never strong enough (no energy drain) and when she's strong enough, I never need her anymore. I always send her into the ventilation shaft so I can keep either Legion or Kasumi for myself.

Jacob...I played ME2 a few times, and I never was able to force myself to talk to him, so I havn't chance to know him better. Im female player and Im playing female Shepards, and I really dislike the way, my Sheps talks to Jacob.

Probably Jack to be honest. I liked her powerful story line, and I was glad I could help her, but unless she had a radical change of personality, she will eventually cause issues on the Normandy long term I feel. I also felt that in combat, she was nothing too special.
Anyway, my Shep is close to everyone on the ship, so it's a real stretch for him to say anything bad about anyone.
