I'm going to be angry if Mordin dies of "old age".

We Mordin fans must attend to the possibility that our beloved salarian may die of "old age" before or during the course of ME3. I hope he does not, and should he not remain a squad member, I hope that it should remain possible to have a few memorable conversations with him during ME3.

Think of the fans, BioWare, though I think that the ME3 script is most completely already at this point.

Any and all off-stage deaths will be met with extreme hostility.

Agreed.  I'm all for dramatically killing off squadmates in heartwrenching ways, but only if I get to watch.  That sounded less perverse in my head.

Thane will almost certainly have died in the interim, Mordin not so sure.
On the plus side if you romanced Thane you can have him stuffed and placed in your quarters next to the fish tank!

An alive Thane is creepy enough as it is. But now you want a dead one staring at you when you sleep?

Totally.  Even if it's characters we hate - if we don't get to see the Turian councilor torn in half by a husk (or whatever grisly death awaits him), I for one will be sorely disappointed.

Mordin has to hold the line one last time with shepard against the Reapers.

Agree with this completely.  From the perspective of story and drama, what is the point of keeping Mordin alive through the suicide mission only for him to die off-camera?

I'd love to claim Bioware would never do such a thing, but even their brilliance has the occasional hiccup.

I'm going to be mad if any of the ME2 characters "die" before ME3.

I know they could die at the end of ME2, but I didn't make sure they'd all survive just to have them die for crap reasons in the meantime.

I don't believe Bio Ware would be so cruel as to have these characters they know we love so much to die before we play ME3. Though I do see some one like Thane do something awesome like commit the ultimate sacrifice to save Shepard and crew.

I will rage my ass off. I still need this guy to cure the genophage, fix the quarian immune systems and possibly cure the common cold.

To be fair, he IS 50 years old. For a salarian, that's impressive. That's like a human today reaching 100. Not unheard of, but rare.

Agreed, I'd be disappointed if Mordin died of old age, but I can't say that I won't see it coming.
